Our experience with this company has been an utter disaster. They have had to install THREE hot water heaters in just 6 years because each one they put in continues to fail. Even though they should have all been under warranty, we have been forced to pay several hundred dollars for labor each time they replace their faulty equipment. The most recent replacement we were told was still under warranty as the last replacement was just 1.5 years ago. We hesitantly allowed them to reinstall a new unit. They had to come back the next day because it was leaking due to faulty craftsmanship. 8 weeks later they sent a bill for the double labor AND heater saying that the water heater was actually not under warranty because the warranty dates back to 6 years ago with the original install. So they did not stand behind their product or their installation or their word. When we told them how unbelievable this whole experience was we gave them the opportunity to make it right one more time, agreeing to pay for the labor, but not for the hot water heater. They refused. They were very rude with their interactions even though they were to blame. We removed the hot water heater and had them pick it up today. The two other HVAC companies who have come here to help us address the situation have been dumbfounded at the poor installation and the improper use of multiple types of metals in the pipes leading to the heater. Save yourself a colossal headache and a lot of money and call someone else!!
Response from the owner
First off, in response to this review. I would like to give a little history on my Company. I started my business in 1988 as a residential and commercial HVAC Company and in 1990 decided to pursue installing closed loop geothermal units for both residential and commercial projects. Along with many other types of systems my goal is to provide top notch installations no matter what type of job we propose to do. I was chosen to design and install in 2011 an Extreme Home Make-Over House where we installed four (4) systems with only 24 hours of working time to get the job done that was very successful. Also we have performed many large commercial projects and now focus more on new and existing residential and work for several quality Home Builders and remodelers. Over the last 33 years we have installed thousands of systems without any reviews like this. Before getting into my rebuttal I would like to state that this customer, Brian Rummel has a brother that works for me and was the Project Foreman during the entire geothermal installation and replacing the first water heater. Nothing was said to him about any issues with the install. In 2015 we installed a 4-ton Climate Master closed loop geothermal unit with hot water generator and hot water heater in an existing house in place of the existing system. 3 years later the first water heater failed under warranty and was replaced. My labor warranty is one (1) year from date of installation so given the fact that the water heater was in for 3 years, labor and any parts needed to replace this water heater was billed out. This is standard procedure in this business. Now this past June 2021, the second water heater failed and at this point the manufacturer wanted pictures of the failure. I have this failed water heater in my possession and found that the lower water heater element was leaking which caused a short circuit in the lower element. This issue was not caused by our installation. So, in June of 2021 we installed a new water heater and filed warranty. We waited for warranty and called twice to check on it and finally the supply house told us the manufacturer was not going to give warranty due to it running out of warranty last year. So the repair was billed out in full in August. After receiving the invoice, Sarah Rummel called us and said the bill was not going to be paid and for us to take out the water heater which the owners did and we picked up. You would think if they were unhappy with the installation Brian would have spoken to his brother. As far as 2 other companies stating that multiple metals were used, I do not know how they determined what type of stainless steel was used just by looking at the fittings. Quality stainless steel has been used with brass for decades without failure.
