  TJ's sent a guy to repair my shower knob - it had completely broken off just before Christmas. They came and gave me an estimate to install a shower fixture (knob and head) that I had purchased, but couldn't do the work that day. The next day they sent a different guy, who brought a knob fixture with him. I told him I didn't care if they used his knob or the fixture I bought, that I would go with the lesser option. Using his knob fixture was going to cost me $200 more so I said to install the knob that I had bought. He told me that he was told to install the knob only and we agreed that I would keep the shower head I had because it has a removable hose. When he left, he charged me the original quoted amount and I paid it. After he left, I realized he had installed the knob upside down from how the valve was inside the wall. (Meaning turning the knob, it didn't open the valve all the way to allow hot water to flow.) They sent a 3rd guy the same day who fixed the knob. Afterward when I was looking at the various paperwork provided by the 3 different guys, I realized I had been charged for the shower head install and the shower head had not been installed. I called for a credit and Dewey said he would take care of it and get it to me the next day. I haven't heard from him since and know that I need to call again, but going through TJ's has definitely already taken up more of my time than I anticipated. It's a simple change of scope but he told me that it would be a wash once they add tax.....long story short, track your paperwork and monitor all the different visits it will take to get a simple repair.

  we have use TJ in the past for new furnace, air conditioning and tankless water tank. We had TJ do a half bathroom renovation. The crews that came in to do the renovation were all professional and did a good job. At the end of the they left the work area very clean.

  Unskilled staff incorrectly installed kitchen sink drain and gas line. Frankly, they made a mess in the kitchen. Prior crew did a nice job with the hot water heater after two attempts. Sales person and estimator was professional. Billing was never resolved. Work had to be redone by another plumber.
