Made an appointment to have my furnace cleaned and tuned up back in Sept. Was told they were backed up till Nov. So made the .appointment for Nov. 9th .well no service tech and no phone call to explain . Stayed home all day for no reason . There is no excuse that's right

Hi Kevin, I can understand your frustration based on your comments above. I would be upset as well, however I do want you to know we have been trying to reach you since November 5th. On that day we called the number on file to explain we needed to reschedule your tune-up due to emergency calls we needed to address first. The person who answered told us that we had the wrong number. We also sent an email that day and two weeks later to try to connect with you to reschedule the appointment and explain what happened. That said, please give us a call or email us with your new contact information as soon as possible. We are 100% committed to working with you to make this right. Had a technician come over and when asked to disconnect the oil tank he said no and we need it connected because it's getting cold but since he didn't do it we now have to wait till November or pay another company to do it. As well as earlier this year when we had barely any ice on are drive way and the delivery truck wouldn't come down and forced us to get dirt when we didn't have to.

Hi Rachel, thank you for sharing your feedback. At Tidewater, we are sorry your experiences with us did not match your expectations. We strive hard to ensure you are happy and that is why the technician explained that if the tank was disconnected you would have no heat source as we head into winter. It was done out of a genuine concern for your well being and the decision was left up to you. It was his understanding that you wanted to wait to ensure your heating needs were being met. You also mentioned that we forced you to sand your driveway. That is 100% correct. We are committed to ensuring our drivers are not taking risks that would jeopardize their safety or the safety of those around them. In the case of your driveway, it slopes directly at your home which puts both the driver and your family at risk if he starts to slide on the ice and cannot stop before impacting your home. Our driver made the decision that day that it was not safe to enter. He is our most seasoned driver and very rarely skips a delivery unless he feels the situation is unsafe. I have had a chance to talk with Justin in detail about both issues. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you as well to have a dialogue about my responses to your feedback and further address your concerns. We have been with Tidewater Oil since they first came to Belfast. They have always had competitive prices and great service. With extra time at home now we decided to have a few extra zones put in (along with a few other services) and the crew -of- two represented Tidewater Oil amazingly! They were hardworking, polite, respectful young gentlemen who we would request again when we need additional services! Great job! Thank you!
