I absolutely do not recommend this company! Our experience has been horrible from install to service. We used Mark's company Texas Comfort Air twice for our new construction homes and were told that we were getting the best units possible. In our most recent home, we have had to replace every single coil at two years post-construction which cost us thousands of dollars (over $6000+) in total repair on our dollar. They didn't cover any of the issues. Let me add we have had issues from day 1 with cooling and heating and there are always excuses to why it doesn't work properly. The excuses have been ridiculous...It's too efficient, it's too smart, it's too hot outside, etc. We have built over 7 new construction high-end custom homes over the last 15 years and have never experienced any of these issues with prior installs and servicing from other companies. While we have had issues, from day 1 and had very costly issues at 2 years that we had repaired, now at 3 years post install, we have an air leak in our attic, an issue with the AC motor, and likely more coil leaks. We scheduled an appointment for service/repair and they notified us on the day they were supposed to come that they are no longer servicing us (how convenient). The owner is not responding to my calls and gave ample chances to rectify the issue. If you live in Spanish Oaks (a high-end neighborhood) where there is lots of new construction, I am aware of several families that have run into the exact same issues. The fact that Texas Comfort Air installed and recommended these products, charged us for thousands of dollars in repairs within two years that we paid, and at three years still having major issues so they are no longer servicing is beyond unprofessional.

Update Nov.4th We had our fall checkup today. Carlos came out. He checked over the system and discused some concerns I had and answered my questions. He was courteous and proffecianal. He also cleaned up my outside cooling unit. I have had pretty good luck with this company overall. 👍👍 We had our summer checkup today by technician Daman. We have utilized this company ever since we moved into our new home. They have installed energy saving thermostats, handled warranty issues and have done spring and fall checkups for us. Very few minor issues. Any issue we've had was resolved promptly. That means alot to us as it is nice to know you have a company that stands by thier work.. The staff has been courteous, polite and helpful.

Initially, the prices this company had for replacing outside A/C units was one of the best I could find. So much so that after replacing 1 outside unit I contacted them 6 months later when the second outside unit needed to be replaced. Yesterday, I left to go shopping with my wife and returned 3.5 hours later to find out my upstairs was in triple digits and our pet bird was dead. Turns out the capacitor went bad at 13.5 months. I tried to contact them Sunday evening and was unable to get ahold of anyone. I called the after hours line for efficient heating and air and was able to get a tech scheduled for first thing Monday morning. This was a cost of $99 for a service fee or $260 to replace the capacitor right then. I contacted Texas Comfort Air and asked them how much it would be to fix since I knew the problem. They told me it would be a cost of $390 ($197 after finding out I signed up for extended services) because the warranty on labor ends at 12 months and that a capacitor failing after one year is normal. When, in fact, they should last 10. I also upgraded both units by a half ton so they wouldn't work as hard. They stated they are not responsible for the death of the bird, the service call to another company when they were unavailable, nor anything past their warranty to replace the part at no cost. I will not be calling to have them install or fix anything else...
