  I truly feel like I'm calling a friend or neighbor when I call Taylor & Tyler. They're one of those New Orleans area family businesses that I rely on to keep my home running. I know, despite how major or minor the heating or cooling issue, they're going to to deal with it honestly, competently and professionally. The dispatchers are so friendly and helpful as well- they always do their best to resolve an issue over the phone if possible. Today, my technician, Matt, worked persistently, with great attention to figure out a complicated issue with my heating that occurred after a few weeks of cold weather. Matt did a great job explaining the issues and despite the time it took and complexity of the issue, he only charged for a simple service fee. Heating and cooling (especially in our part of the world) is a huge component of home maintenance. I'm so thankful for Taylor & Tyler- they have my business for life.

  They came out to repair my new HVAC system and found several issues the other contractor had done. Corrected the issues. Taylor and Tyler's employees were very professional and polite. They even called a week later when the temperatures were forecasted to be below freezing to be sure everything was working properly. If you need any HVAC work done, this is the company to call!

  PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Save yourself time and money. We called this company to take a look at our AC. The outside unit was working fine, we just wanted to inquire about getting our house as cool as possible.The technician that came out promised us that our house would be cooler before he left. He took our outside unit apart and cleaned it and he also removed some coolant because he said we had too much and it was pass the normal level of where it should be. We paid a total of $395. One day later the unit goes out completely after being worked on by the technician. We call to let them know and the first representative we talked to insured my husband that we would not be charged for them to come back out and look at the problem. The same technician came back out and tried to charge us another $395 to fix a part that was no longer working all of a sudden. My husband called the company again and was told that they would not waive the $95 service charge for the tech to come out nor would they fix the problem that wasn’t a problem until the tech messed with the unit. We were scammed. We decided not to proceed with the service since we would’ve had to pay an additional $395. We did however have to pay another $95 service charge for the tech coming back out. Now not only are we out of $490 but our unit is still broken due to this technician. We called to speak with someone in charge but we were told pretty much that it wasn’t their problem and that they would not fix the issue that their company tech caused. Our house is extremely hot now and my husband, myself, and our kids have to use fans which is a major inconvenience especially because I have a sick toddler and we have no money to even stay in a hotel until we find another company to come fix what this company damaged. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this type of headache. We paid this company to help us but instead they damaged our unit and took our hard earned money. This is ridiculous that a company would scam at a time like this when everyone is trying to stay home and out of the way to avoid getting Covid yet they decided to take advantage of customers. I regret that we called them in the first place. My hope is to save others from the scamming that we couldn’t save ourselves from. Review by Gordon Pierre’s wife.

  It is really a shame that people will go through all this blame game stuff and never understand how a system works. Mr. Gordon Pierre”s system has not been maintained in years. The system was completely clogged with dirt. My tech took apart the unit made recommendations to repair and replace several parts on the system. We had never been to the customers house prior to this visit. The unit was way over charged. The condenser was filthy, fan motor over heating because of filthy condenser. The system is an old R22 unit, which should be replaced. After cleaning the system and getting it charged properly. The contactor went out that was about 16 years old, pitted and abused from lack of maintenance. Somehow it becomes our fault that the contactor failed. NO- lack of maintenance and age is the reason it failed. Unfortunately, we cannot warranty systems that are that old and cannot guarantee parts don’t fail on the system. Al we can do is recommend and then it is up to the homeowner to have work done that keeps the system maintained and working properly. This is definitely not the case here. Please have your system maintained through the years and keep it up. All systems fail here or there, because their mechanical and things break. 99% of the time it’s not the fault of the tech cleaning the unit, so don’t just blame them with nothing to back your theory of what happened.
