After a tree fell on my house on May 5th, my contractor and I aggressively pursued a permit to rebuild. After 3 weeks, the permit office, and namely Nic LeBlanc, denied my permit based on some formula requiring me to get a $90k code upgrade. My repairs are estimated at $70k. It has been 3 months of silence from his office. I have called and left messages and was instructed to email him with questions, only silence. I want to know why this guy is permitted to run his office this way? I've asked for no favors, only clarification of the denied permit. Meanwhile, Mr LeBlanc's lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect is causing my family, my wife and two girls, 3 and 10, to live in hardship way longer than we should have to. I've even called the parish to complain but they don't respond either. I wonder if a lawyer will help me...

Just bought a new house at the end of October. Get my account number from Entergy and call permit office with that account number thinking they set me all up. Find out 1 week later Entergy still hasn't received my permit yet and there is no telling when my contract is going to cut my power off. Be sure to stay on top of your stuff because it will definitely fall through the cracks at this place. I asked the girl at the office, what am I supposed to do when the power gets cut off and I have a 3 year old baby. She said, well mam I am sorry but I have no control of when your power gets cut off!!??? Seriously...

How are you gonna have signs about masks everywhere and not a single person working there was wearing one. Its also pretty obvious, by the stains on the glass between the person working and the person there to get paperwork done, that it hasn't been cleaned in months.
