Over the passed 2 years we have used Subzero on a few occassions when our 2 Hvac units have presented problems.  Ron responded very quickly and reliably and most important, very honestly and limped the older systems along so that we would have heat in the cold and during summer heat, a/c.   We then decided it was time, and Ron installed 2 new HVAC units for us.  One Mini-Split unit and one conventional.  The install went perfectly and expertly.  Thanks to his years of experience, we were surprised how fast and clean his team works.  We highly, highly recommend Ron for any HVAC needs.

I called Subzero Mechanical of Concord, NC Because my 20 year old Air Conditioning system stopped working. Ron came out and provided me a estimate on a new high efficiency Air conditioning system which was very competitive compared to some of the other estimates I had received in the area. Ron is very honest, dependable and dose quality work. On the day of installation Ron and his team did an excellent job installing my new system! They wore mask and Gloves because of the recent pandemic to protect me and my family! It’s hard to find a service company this day and time that is so conscientious in doing quality work!! I was also given a 10 year warranty on my new system!  and a free WiFi thermostat! I will recommend Subzero Mechanical to everyone!!

The first time I used Subzero was for a client that had a Home warranty and they were sent out.  Ron & Christian were FANTASTIC, On time, Professional and So honest and not trying to up sell anything...UNLIKE my BAD past experiences with a company that advertises on TV all the time ...The next time was on my personal system and once again they exceeded my expectations!!  They will be the only HVAC company I recommend from here on!

I wish there were 10 stars!! My capacitor went out (for the second time). The first time (about 6 years ago) I called a famously advertised A/C company and had to wait 24 hours, was charged a trip fee, and then another $300.00 for a repair that took over an hour.
My A/C went out this past weekend. My Home Warranty Company couldn't find a repairman in a reasonable time. My son, who is also a tradesman (electrician) recommended Subzero Mechanical.
Man was that a great call! I called, left a voicemail, and Sam called me back in 5 minutes. He got right to me after his first call of the morning. He called BEFORE he came out. Got right to work. 15 minutes later, and for way less money- I was fixed right up. Prompt, courteous and very reasonable. And HONEST: He told me as long as this A/C works, I don't need to get a new one (as some famously advertised companies say to)

I had Subzero "assigned" to me when I filed a claim through my home warranty. It turned out to be some really good luck! Ron and Sam were great!

I had called a different HVAC contractor out to my house in July, and they told me that the gas regulators in my furnaces were leaking and needed to be replaced, saying they'd come back out later in the year to do it. I decided to file a claim with my warranty to save a little money on the install (estimated $350+). I got a call that afternoon (a Sunday), and was scheduled in for the next morning. Ron and Sam came out to my place and took a look. Ron was able to point out to me that my first contractor was basically trying to scare me into a costly repair. He pulled a brand new regulator out of his van and showed me how it was put together and where leakages occur on them. He did all the usual soap bubble checks to be sure, but he told me that he was a bit suspicious of the diagnosis as soon as he heard it, as the regulators don't usually leak. He tightened the escape valve (which was a bit loose, but in no way required a replacement) and turned everything on that my first contractor had turned off. I unfortunately still had to pay the visit fee per the terms of my warranty, but at least I got some good peace of mind and a great new HVAC contractor out of it!

I will also note that this "other" contractor that I first called, although not terrible, tried to schedule me for a yearly checkup service in almost the same breath as scheduling my service call. I got no such pressure from Ron and Sam, and I appreciate that greatly!

Subzero has my business now, and I'd highly recommend them to others.

Subzero Mechanical has helped me in several situations with my real estate business. I often have to call on vendors to assist with my buyers and sellers as they have needs that must be addressed quickly. Ron has always been responsive, timely and effective! He gets the job done!  Plus he is local!!! I recommend Subzero for your maintenance and any problems that may arise!

There aren’t enough “stars” for Ron and his team at Subzero Mechanical.  They are truly the most caring and amazing people out there in this field hands down.  I had recently bought a home and although the inspector stated that my heat pump was working I found myself on day 2 without heat and a temperature of 54 degrees inside of the home.  Ron came to the rescue!  Despite the fact that it was a Sunday and he was on a job, he arrived that same day.
Ron and his team had to replace the unit in the crawl space as well as all the duct work which was not an easy task.  They worked in freezing rain, in the dark and all throughout the weekend to ensure that me and my family had heat.  Not only did they do a superior job but he is more than fair in pricing!  There are not many companies who care about the craftsmanship of their work as this company does.
Please tell anyone you know this should be their first and only call for all of their HVAC needs!  We cant thank Ron and his team for their service and compassion for our heating situation!  Thanks Ron and Team!!!

Ron took care of my AC on short notice and was exactly right about what was wrong with it.  He knew right away just talking to me on the phone!  Incredible service.  I could see he cares about people and is a true professional.  Five stars is not enough!  Put Ron's Sub Zero At the top of your list, you'll find no finer heating and cooling company. Thank you Ron!
