Stephen K Dennys installed the AC unit in my home about 6 years ago. They sold me on the “top of the line” Lennox system. Within the short amount of time of having this unit, I have already had to replace the condenser coil. Today my unit stopped working in the middle of the night. The company advertises as a 24 hour service company, however when my AC went out in the middle of the night, that was not the case. My first call was placed at 3:45 AM, second call was placed at around 4:30AM and my final phone call was at 7 AM. I did not get a phone call back from a technician until 7:40 AM who essentially did nothing but relay my service needs to the schedulers who put me on the schedule for 10-12. I feel like that’s false advertisement. Why have someone even answer my calls if you have no intentions of coming to my home until normal business hours? If I needed a regular appointment I would have called at 8 AM but your phone line actually says “for emergency after hours service press _”. I’m just really frustrated that you even say that you offer the service when you really don’t. I have 3 young children sleeping in my house and I was ready to pay for an emergency service fee. The technician came today for $89 I believe, and quickly diagnosed my issue, but wanted to charge me over $100 just to vacuum the lines. We declined the service and did it ourselves which took 10 minutes and now we are back in business. The technician was trying to sell me on another thermostat because mine is now out of warranty and “the display didn’t look right” which the thermostat is 6 years old now so the display is a bit older, but there is nothing wrong with it. Also another discrepancy, I had a technician come out to my home a couple months ago when I needed my condenser coil replaced, and the technician filled my unit with Freon. The technician didn’t even let me know what he was doing or the cost of the service before doing so. Then told me I owed x amount of dollars without any notice or confirmation from time that I actually wanted him to preform that service. Stephen K Denny did end up refunding me the amount I paid for the service the technician did without my approval first which I greatly appreciate, however after the series of disappointment with the company I unfortunately will be switching to another company to service my unit and mini split moving forward.

We apologize we fell short on your expectations of our emergency services. Our emergency services will provide service within 24 hours of a customers phone call. Your concerns are valid and have been addressed with our on call technician. We strive to provide exemplary service to our customers and we truly value your opinion. That said, Stephen K Denny did provide service within 5 hours of your original phone call to us. We did not charge emergency service rates because we were not able to get out to you until normal business hours. The technician did advise that the thermostat did show signs that it was likely to fail in the near future and we have to advise you of this as it is our obligation to assess and advise of anything that could be an issue now or in the future with your air conditioner. We appreciate and value your feedback as we have addressed it and strive to provide exemplary service to our customers. Thank you, Service Manager

My AC stopped working Saturday September 4 late afternoon. It had reached 80 degrees. A service man Nathan came promptly early that evening. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. The capacitor when tested had completely failed. They had replaced it 33 days before. Nathan installed a new one that he had in stock in his trunk. AC turned on immediately! I bought the AC unit from Stephen K 4 years ago and have them service my unit twice a year. Stephen the owner called me this am to tell me he will cancel all labor charges because the same part failed in a few days over a month. I have a 10 year warranty on all parts so no cost for that either. I highly recommend Stephen K Denny AC for purchases and/or service. They respond immediately, send highly trained and courteous technicians, put the needs of the customer first, and demonstrate exemplary business ethics. Susan Drinkwater

I've been with Steven K Denny for a very long time and have had more than one AC system installed at my house over the years by them. Installation and service is very good. My experience with Brian in consultation for the work to be done was excellent. The installation by Sherwin and Watson was very professional. They were very courteous and the work was done in a very neat and clean manner. I highly recommend SKD.
