  We recently had a high efficiency furnace installed, as well as alot of insulation work. To be honest, I have torn feelings about my experience with Standard. The guys that did the work were professional and knowledgeable. The experience on the other hand kept me guessing. When we had the furnace installed, the installers said they had a new truck that they hadn't been able to fully stock yet. It happens I guess. I didn't mind, but I had to provide several fuses because there was an issue with the furnace upon installation. Fuses are cheap and like I said I didn't mind, but still, and they also didn't have the correct size hose clamps, so they had to use zip ties to secure a fitting on the condensation line. Also, they didn't have an important part for the cold air return duct work that was needed, so they called another guy to come bring it to them. At the end of the day, the poor guys were at my house all day. Still, they kept going to resolve any issues and make sure we were satisfied. The furnace works as expected. Onto the insulation... again, the installers were professional. There was a guy prepping, by covering everything with plastic to avoid damage to our belongings that may be caused from overspray when the spray foam was installed. He was very thorough with the prep work, and I was very pleased with the detail he went to to protect our stuff. There was a guy that did the spray foam and a guy that did the blown in insulation. I honestly felt bad for them because anything that could go wrong, did go wrong for them. The biggest setback was that the gun used for the spray foam malfunctioned, which caused all production to stop for I believe it was about 2 1/2 hours until it was fixed (a repair guy was called to come assist with fixing it). Another set back was that the temperature of the spray foam fluctuated from too cold to too hot. It was out of the installers hands, and they kept me informed which I appreciated. The main part of the house where the spray foam was done looks very good. The blown in insulation came out very good in our attic. Last year, I installed rockwool insulation above the sill plate in the cellar, which made it alot warmer down there. The installers removed and discarded the rockwool as they said the spray foam is much more efficient and will work better. Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with it. It feels much cooler than the rockwool, and I'm very disappointed with how it looks. Initially, when the preliminary inspection took place, the salesman and I had several ideas, but I couldn't remember all of the things that we agreed on for them to do for us. Thats MY fault, or I would have had everything out of their way and prepped, so the appearance somewhat is due to my lack of attention, but still I believe there could have been something done to improve on the globs and "drips, or runs" of spray foam. Again, I felt bad because the poor guys were there literally all day. They showed up at 7:30am and left I believe at 8:30pm. With that said, I respect that they wanted to get home, so I didn't want to ask them to fix it. We have a final inspection pending, so I will ask if there is anything that can be done to remedy my concerns. Overall, our experience with Standard was good with the employees, but mediocre with what we received with what we paid for. Things happen, but I feel they should have a list of materials to keep stocked on their trucks, and possibly a back up for critical tools, such as the gun for the spray foam.

  This company made getting our house insulated so incredibly easy! Everyone in the office had great customer service skills and made the whole process seamless. The crews that came and did the job were professional, perfectly on time and incredibly good at their jobs. There were small details that made the whole thing an amazing experience. Without hesitation I have already recommended them to many people. Standard insulation sets the standard for what other companies should be doing.

  My recent experience with Standard was above and beyond my expectations. The office staff were friendly and accommodating. The technician(s) that serviced my calls were compassionate and knowledgeable. They did what I considered a very thorough job and were very patient with all my questions. They serviced my a/c unit and my furnace. And each time, it was like my problem became their problem. They never rushed through the job and the end result was truly a "happy ending!" I will highly recommend your company to others and I look forward to doing business with you in the future.
