  South Texas Ventilation installed the a/c unit in our home, which mind you is a brand new home when purchased in 2020, and the unit stopped working on Sunday, 03/20/22. I call STV on Monday, the following day, to let them know the issue and that I needed someone to come out and take care of this as I have 2 school aged children and 2 animals, Erica tells me that because I do not pay for their membership that the soonest someone can come to diagnose our unit was on Thursday. We get home Monday evening and I called the after hours technician, he was very polite and advised that I call back in the morning and they would send someone out. I call back on Tuesday to get a technician out, Erica again asked if I paid for the membership, again I tell her no. After I told her that if they were unable to help me today that I would take my business elsewhere, she miraculously had an opening at 2pm. Someone came out, again very polite technician, diagnosed it and said the part had to be ordered and would be here Friday(03/25/22). Fast forward to now 5 days with no a/c, I call to check on said part, now I am told that this will not be here till Wednesday(03/31/2022). I voiced my concern to the builder of the home and was told that she would call to check up on this. I receive a call about 10 minutes later from Erica, stating that she can overnight the part but that it still wouldn't be available until Monday. If overnight was an option, why wasn't this done to begin with?! Is this how they treat all their customers or only the ones that don't pay for their membership? Mind you, this is a brand new unit and is still under warranty. All in all, I 10/10 DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. Their website states "Comfort shouldn't have to wait" and "Don't go longer than you have to without reliable heating and air conditioning-call South Texas Ventilation anytime for fast, reliable HVAC repairs in Victoria, Tx", not true in my case. I was able to get ahold of another AC company in Victoria, Tx and they were at my house in 20 minutes(no questions or sales pitch to pay for a ridiculous membership) to diagnose and had part overnighted for delivery TOMORROW(not Monday), that is how customer service should be!

  In response to Lisa Quintinilla’s, comment we installed equipment for previous homeowner and the warranty is for the first homeowner it does not transfer to the multiple homeowners upon selling the home just as with anything else you purchase anywhere. This customer was very rude demanding and difficult to deal with. She used vulgar language towards our staff as well as our owner of the company from the get go. However we still did everything In Our power to satisfy her including doing the work at no cost to her. She was offered a maintenance contract at the time of service and declined saying she would never use us again on 8/15/19 and now here we are 6/9/20 and she’s calling asking for a membership and a maintenance. She is upset that we denied her request for both and told her we will not be returning to her home ever again and she right away started threatening to ruin the company's reputation. At STV we are all about customer service, and ensuring our customers are taken care of as well as the safety of our employees. We do not just enter homes without the permission of our customers and our technicians certainly do not drink on the job. The technician that ran her call does not even smoke! How would we have known the house would have a certain door unlocked if she hadn’t told us it would be open to go in that way and start doing what needed to be done till she returned. We understand you can’t please everyone and there will always be someone mad because they don’t get their way but we will not stand for our company to be ran in the mud and lied on. Contractors beware of this customer if you don’t do what she says or wants you will find yourself in the same situation and life is just too short to deal with difficult degrading people.
