Definitely, would not recommend. Quoted me $99 per hour for a 1 hour job. Then sent 2 service men together. The first 1st one was training the other one. Ended up charging me $199 per hour for 2.5 hours, so $548.25. I asked what was the reason, they said, “We sent two guys, so it’s we charged you double.” All they did was change a belt and switch my air filters. Please don’t trust this place. There are many, many places to choose from. Like Bello, Hoffmann, Weis, Premier, etc. with much better reviews snd service. Update: There was no snow and ice on the day of your service call and I want calling about rooftop units. I was calling about a home unit. Also, I was never informed that I would be charged $199 per hour. Both technicians did not work independently, one followed the other around the entire time. I’m so glad that I’ve found another company. I needed that extra push to seek another company, instead of settling for the same bad service I was accustomed to with Sigman. Glad to hear your response because it makes me feel like I made the right decision. Update: Just uploaded my bill to prove that the owner lied in his online response. Look at the top of my invoice where it says $99/hour plus parts and service call. Then look at the bottom left corner where it says Labor rate. $99/hour x 2. So they charged me labor for 3.75 hours plus a service call price of $99. Total labor and service call was $461.25, then $78 for a part. They worked about 1.5 hours and I didn’t mention that they forgot a fan belt, so they charged me for the time it took for them to go back to their shop to get it (50 minutes round trip). Very unprofessional and I would not recommend. They are unscrupulous. I called to talk to someone about it very politely, but they wouldn’t even call me back. Don’t take my word for it, just check out the photo of my actual bill below. These guys are ridiculous. I will file a small claims suit, if they tempt me. I’m still within the statute of limitations.
Response from the owner
Thank you for the review. The service you are talking about took place in February 2019, but we have the hand ticket and invoice handy. You were charged 3.75 hours of labor at $99/hr in order to get on the roof, diagnose the problem, change 2 worn belts on your rooftop units as well as 4 dirty air filters. Neither technician was in training at the time of your service and each worked independently on your 2 units. Our office manager at the time explained to you that we have to send two technicians to any rooftop unit when there is snow/ice present for safety reasons. The reason we were not able to come back out to your home today when you called is due to this particular issue as well as input from our technicians on different past service calls.
