  I could not keep the pilot lit on my gas fireplace, so I contacted Shore. They got the pilot lit and charged me $186. The next day the pilot went out. They were to order a part and set up a date for installation. They never ordered the part. They promised to order it and it would arrive early this week It didn't arrive. Calling them almost always results in getting their answering machine. As of today, I am out $186 and no pilot light. I cancelled the service. They also do business as Chimney Doctor. The "owner's response is a complete lie. No notice of delay was ever offered. No "wait and see" was ever spoken . The owner did not reply. Another lie. He does not wait on customers. He does not answer the phones. He admits to having absolutely no computer skills. The reply was submitted by the employee responsible for this mess.

  Mr. McAniff, We apologize for your frustration. We have done everything in our power to appease you during this situation with your fireplace. You were informed at your original service that your pilot assembly appeared to be faulty and may not stay burning. At that time you chose to "wait and see what happens." The following day when you called to state that your pilot had gone out we researched whether the part was still available for your aged unit. The part was ordered and unfortunately delivery of the part was delayed. This was no fault of ours and you were informed of the delay. You called our office 10/1/20 at 10:23AM and at 10:41AM. During this time we were tending to a customer in our showroom and could not get to the phone. Upon completion with the customer you were contacted and apologized to.   Can't say enough great things about them. Fair price. Quick service. The first company I called couldn't get the squirrels nest out of my heaters chimney and left us with no heat. Chimney doctor got us back with heat in 30 minutes. Thank You!

  Live in Avalon, needed to replace our heatnglo remote control starter unit. Was told that wouldn’t be a problem, they have those units in the van. On the day of service, they showed up 4 hours late at nearly 6pm, looked at the unit, said they would need to do research on what unit would work despite it being a standard heatnglo unit. Said they would get back to me. Clearly at the end of day, they didn’t want to deal with it. 7 weeks later, several unanswered and non returned calls later, now looking for another dealer.
