The washer was under a maintenance plan and they came just a few days after I called. But the part they needed had to be ordered. The tech. ordered it on the spot and had it shipped right to me. But their next available date they could come was 3 weeks later. So although I had the part in less than a week from the original service call, I had to wait almost another 3 weeks for them to come back and install it.

* The technician was very nice, but there seems to be a disconnect between "Home Services" and the Sears warranty fulfillment administration. The explanation provided by the technician left me uncertain as to how my warranty is going to play out in terms of what options will be available or what actions will be taken to get me a replacement water heater, and of course the important question of what, if any, associated costs there might be that I could expect. Hmmmm.... I know I was told that someone at Sears would be contacting me via email within 24 to 48 hours to explain all this. I just don't understand why Sears Home Services has the technicians be so obtuse with this process: no estimate of costs for any options, no clear direction of actions available, no peace of mind from a proffered concrete solution to replace my obviously failed water heater that is on it's 7th year of a 12 year full replacement warranty period.

With out calling me they canceled my appointment. Then they tried to tell me I gave them a Kentucky address. I live in Colorado. Every time i was put on hold I got a new person and had to explain the situation all over again. Not surprising that Sears is failing. Sad they used to be a great customer service company.
