On 06/28/2021 technicians Allen and Derrick replaced a waterline in my Kenmore refrigerator. The job took a while and I was told they would be giving me a discount. The initial estimate was $540.97 and the total I paid was $506.62. In August I received a bill for $117.07. Looking back on my receipt I saw that it had $117.07 in the prepaid amount. Apparently, this is how they applied the "discount". I contacted Allen a number of times - voicemail box is full - and he did not respond to any of my texts. I do not have Derrick's contact information. I have called different Sears Home Services numbers and all go to the same phone tree which does not get you to a person in any local offices or to billing. The only way to contact them regarding the bill is by email which I did on 08/03/2021. However, after explaining the issue (to a Nevine at Sears Home Services Email Team) and asking to speak with someone, I have received no communication since 09/01/21. On 09/15/2021 I received another bill for $117.07, and today I get a collections bill! I have no complaints about the service performed by the technicians, but the difficulty of getting to an actual person to talk to and lack of communication from their "Email Services Team" is what drove me to write this review. And I should not be forced to use facebook to contact Sears Home Services (see responses from the owner in negative reviews). Is it worth a ding in my credit score to not pay this bill out of principle? Probably not, but I will be filing a dispute letter and complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Next time, I will only go with a local business.

Customers should be aware when calling Sears Appliance Repair you are contacting a call center located offshore with little to no connection to the repair person who will eventually come to your house. The call center representative tried to sell me on warranty programs and "maintenance" services on my appliances when my only issue was needing a specific part to repair my fridge. Do yourself a favor and connect directly with a locally owned business who can give you honest service at a fair price. Don't waste your valuable time being upsold on nonsensical services by a call center rep in Mumbai.
