  Never, ever, EVER again. I am writing my very first Google review to share that this was purely the absolute worst experience I have had with a business, period. Usually, if I write reviews elsewhere it’s when I have had a positive experience, because I understand that all businesses can have their ups and downs and bad days. But that is not the case in the slightest in this situation with Sears Home Services. I can’t even in good conscience call them a business. This is 100% a scam. Please do not waste your time with them, let alone give them any money. I promise you, it will only end in hours wasted arguing with their customer service along with loads of frustration. They lie to get you off the phone, their technicians will cancel randomly on you after hours of waiting for them (so forget it if you stay home from work for an entire afternoon to wait for them, you will waste that PTO time) and then they will refuse to refund you and then indicate in their system that they have refunded you, just to scam you out of more money. After going through a month-long fraud claim with our bank, we were told they would not approve it as the “company” told them that they had performed the service for us “to satisfaction” when no one has ever showed up to complete the service. I can’t begin to describe the levels of frustration we experienced with them. I will be posting a longer review of our experience on Yelp, if you want to see what we endured with this “company.” But I am sharing this because I am trying to save someone else the beyond HORRIBLE experience that we had with them. Do not walk away from this listing for your repair needs - run!

  I had a lawnmower repaired. Although I am not happy that you have to pay the upfront price that can get waived if you use them, which kind of forces you to use them, the technician was great, very polite and had to come back several times and was very professional. What was thought to be the original problem was not the problem, so I was refunded for the parts that could not be used. I probably paid more than I would have had to if I could have gotten a place to come out and pick up my tractor and take it to their shop, but they were booked up. This was a good alternative to just get it done.

  Had a service call set up for this morning. Arrival time between 8-12 I called at 8:30 because I had missed call and wanted to see if it was from them. They informed again of my apt.and said my tech would call me. As I tried to get off the call as I was driving and my blue tooth didn't work she continued to ask me again and again about some free consultation. After that at 9:48 someone called me to cancel my apt because the tech was sick. This is after I took off work and could've gone in if they would have told me the first time I called. Also the lady from the second call got nasty with me. Horrible communication and terrible costumer service. Wouldn't recommend.
