In the last month, Sears Repair has fixed both my dishwasher and my refrigerator ice-maker. The repairmen helped prevent future issues. One warned that Dishwasher Manufacturers assume the water is 120 F to start with, so to always run tap water before pressing "on" - especially in winter (to make sure it really is hot water entering the machine). The other repairman noted that newer refrigerators have an extra heating element to keep the icemakers from getting jammed, and attached one ot our line to help out.

This maintenance visit was outstanding. The technician was knowledgeable and very helpful. He even spent more than the 18 minutes allotted by Sears for a maintenance check! In the past, Sears technicians knew enough to check things out but did not know enough to make repairs or even adjustments such as changing the oven temperature settings. So Sears appliance calls all depend on the expertise of the technician assigned to your call. Beware!

Technician was very good. He knew the appliance well, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly - within one day of my call for help. He also was very pleasant to deal with and answered all of our questions. we felt very comfortable with him in our house.
