I lost service on July 9, and have not had a freezer since then. The repair technician came back on August 14 after me spending hours and hours on hold then given a dial tone, and she replaced compressor and motherboard. I was charged $703.00 even though I have extended warranty. It took hours on hold to finally get reimbursed. We are in our 80’s and have been quarantined since March 11. I order groceries online and we can’t have any frozen foods. This is how I am able to cook since fresh food only lasts a few days in my refrigerator because it is not cooling properly. We have to wait to order again until we have enough to order online. I threw out a packed freezer and have had no luck getting reimbursed because they didn’t have but 10 lines to put all my lost items on. The repair person told me the freezer could not be repaired until she made 2 more visits. My next appointment is September 3. One person I spoke to and on the phone told me I did not have replacement coverage and I read my warranty and I did. She was combative from the first word. I got a representative from Texas named Jay who was the first person from Sears that was kind. He looked at my account and told me that I had been given much misinformation. He gave me numbers to call. I’m losing fresh food every day. I have bought every appliance I’ve ever had from Sears for 57 years and have always loved the responsive service. Nobody can believe you are willing to let an elderly couple be treated like this. Ended in holdingendin It is now the end of August and we still don’t have a freezer and our refrigerator is not cooling well enough to keep food from molding. A man came to repair my washing machine. He said he couldn’t fix it and needed help . He promised he would call me Monday . This is the second Monday and I have not heard from him. I had to give a card number. I will be paying close attention to my statement. My machine is a Kenmore. My machine is STILL NOT FIXED!

The ice maker in my Kenmore Elite refrigerator had already been replaced due to it leaking water down into the ice bin where it would freeze into a huge block of ice. This has now happened again after 6 months! So, the tech that was sent out reduced the amount of water filling the ice tray and left but that did not fix the problem. There is now a huge block of frozen ice cubes in the the ice bin and the water has now frozen the ice bin in place so that it can't be removed. I forwarded videos of this scenario to the repair technician the day after they were here but I never heard back from them. No wonder Sears is out of business!!!
