I spoke with a customer service person concerning the repair of a broken part on our dishwasher. The part had to be ordered first and then I had to call again once it arrived. I was given a date and the ridiculous time window of 8 hrs. My husband stayed home and no one showed up. I called and they said nothing was scheduled. They agreed I had called but since I hadn't received a confirmation email it wasn't scheduled. That is outrageous customer service-Expecting someone to lose a whole day and giving a customer a date and not scheduling it!! Then my husband had to lose another whole day. The technician was fine. The customer service is VERY POOOR Jean Cashman

We are truly sorry to hear of the no show appointment and for wasting your husband's valuable time. Thank you for letting us know of this. Management is tracking our customers comments in order to improve service. We hope that should you choose Sears again for repair your experience will be much better.

Overall it was a good experience. My only frustration was the fact that the part had to be ordered and it took another two weeks for the repair. I felt they should have come with the part as I had experienced this same problem only three years earlier and was 99% sure it was the same thing and made them aware of this. YUP! it was, and they didn't have the part! On a positive note, it was a quick fix and washing clothes again.

The repair was successful, but going for three weeks without a washer was not. There must be a better way than ordering the wrong parts by phone, then having a technician visit and order the right parts and having to wait another week for him to come back. This washer was under warranty, but the service was so slow, and it is very difficult to contact Sears about it. I spend some time talking to a lady in another country that I could not understand, but she just kept repeating what I didn't understand. There has to be a better way to provide service.
