This was a great service! They were able to give me a next day appointment, it was easy to get in touch, and they fixed our drier issue quickly. I would highly recommend. The service call price was cheaper that other competitors and the work/parts a similar price. We will be using them in the future!

If you're looking to waste $50/mo, you might as well just light it on fire. I've had this home warranty plan for almost a year now and have needed to call on them 3 times. If I could have a worse customer service experience, I honestly don't know how. The first time I called, my oven wouldn't unlock, and without sending anyone to even look at it, I was told it wouldn't be covered. Ultimately, after having to spend god only knows how long on the phone, I finally got it fixed, and sure enough, it qualified for the warranty. But most recently, my washing machine stopped working. It's a whirlpool, and was giving a code F06 E01. The first tech that came completely ignored the code, and ordered a new door lock and gasket. The gasket, of course, is on back order through them, but miraculously I was able to purchase it and have it in two days. So I called them and informed them that the parts were installed and they did not correct the issue. It took me over an hour on the phone, and getting to a whole new level of frustrated that I didn't even know existed before they finally scheduled a new tech to come the next day (I'd already been waiting 3 weeks at this point). He properly diagnosed the issue, and got the right part coming, but now it's in limbo, and no one seems to know where it is. In the meantime, this has cost me more than $100 in laundry fees, not including when I go this weekend. After they've finally gotten this repaired, I will be discontinuing my service. I'd rather pay full price for proper repairs or replacements than deal with the frustrations of dealing with these people. I've never felt so lied to, ripped off, and downright disrespected by a company in my life. Stay as far away as humanly possible. Edit - It has now been six weeks. I called the technicians to see if there is any ETA on the part, and they do no answer or return calls. The Sears Home Warranty people only see that a boot seal was installed, and the job was closed, which shouldn't be the case. So just to recap, I've had Sears Home Warranty services for 10 months @ $50/mo. If you do the math, that means I should have paid only $500 (plus the $75 diagnostic fees that are somehow never mentioned) bringing it to a total of $725 for the year worth in repairs. Here's my actual cost: Time lost from work due to incompetent diagnostics, and incorrect parts ordered = 5 days total ($1961.54). Parts I've paid for myself because somehow I can magically get parts faster than a damn repair place = $550. Total actual cost of having Sears Home Warranty for 10 months = $3236.54

Rep "repaired" washer and departed in afternoon. Stated if there were any problems "call me tonight". Couldn't do a load until I got home after work. Didn't find out that it still leaked until after 9pm. Called rep next day and he said I would have to pay for another service call $159. Well, I just paid $159 for nothing. Unacceptable! Question- shouldn't the repair man have run a test cycle to verify operational prior to saying it had been fixed?

      Response from the owner
