My service technicians have been top notch.  What needs to improve is the scheduling and cancellation process.  I was canceled and rebooked an extreme amount of times.  The technicians were responsible, they knew exactly what they were to do and they completed the job quickly.  i also must say that I was very impressed with the people from Boston Massachusetts who diagnosed my issues with all three appliances and were responsible for shipping the correct parts needed to complete the job.

They came quickly (2 days) but it was super expensive. They had you agree to a $99 service call (which was fine), but then there was $150 diagnostic fee (we told them the igniter was bad) and the part (almost double retail cost) and labor. Over $450 to replace a $60 part. But I needed the oven desperately so we paid it.

Service tech replaced the refrigerator compressor and recharged the system. It started cooling then it made a hissing noise (like a leak) after the tech left. I waited 17 days for the first appointment and now it will be another 14 days before another tech can try and fix my refrigerator. One  month waiting for repair service is unacceptable in my opinion!!!

The repair man replaced the ice machine. He was efficient and knew what he was doing.

Serviceman was great, knew his job and was very personable. The reason I gave four stars instead of 5 is because with Sears it takes two visits to fix anything. One visit for diagnosis and one to actually fix the appliance. Plus, one must wait all day, both days for the service person to arrive. a better system needs to be worked out. As I stated before, this actual service man himself was excellent!

Our Kenmore Elite Refrigerator stopped cooling on 9/15/17 late at night so we contacted Sears on 9/16/17.  After calling Sears several times we finally got a tech to our house on 9/19/17.  The tech was not certified to work on the fridge so couldn't do anything.  A certified tech was then sent on 9/26/17 to order parts to fix the fridge, that happened on 10/10/17, but the tech forgot to plug in a freezer sensor so another tech had to be dispatched on 10/11/17 to fix the sensor.  Even after that the fridge still was not working, so a tech was dispatched on 10/14/17 to figure out what was happening, but never fixed the fridge.  FINALLY on 10/20/17 a tech got our fridge back to operating....so far.  The techs have been friendly, knowledgeable, and in my opinion thrown into a bad situation.  Sears is putting techs on jobs that they shouldn't be and will not stand up for their mistakes.  After hours sitting on the phone with Sears, hours waiting around on techs to come to our house, hours waiting while techs are attempting to fix a refrigerator, Sears gave us a little money to go buy a mini fridge so...'your kids can get a gallon of milk to drink'....for a whole month we dealt with trying to get this figured out while trying to keep healthy food in our house for a family.  We even thought we were doing good when we purchased the refrigerator we bought the 'Master Service Protection Agreement' which we find out means nothing because they do not care.  I was even told by one customer service rep that I should be grateful that Sears is coming out again to attempt to fix it.  His reasoning, because they are not trying to hide from a broke appliance.  Didn't care of all the issues they have sent us though, but we should be grateful that they are coming back out.  Again my issues are not with the techs themselves the issues is with how Sears handles the situation. The techs I would give a 5 STAR, but it wouldn't let me give a negative marking or I would for the Sears repair process.  Will not be purchasing from them again after this ordeal.

The repair man arrived after 8:00AM.  He analyzed the problem as a faulty thermostat on the refrigerator.  Said he thought he had the part on the truck.  He did.  Changed the thermostat in a few minutes.  Gave us info on the warranty offered by Sears.  I would give him 5 stars.  Great.

The service people were good to deal with and did a good job, BUT getting them here in a timely manner was TERRIBLE.  We were without a refrigerator for over a month, and our refrigerator is only a year and a half old.   We called, told our problem, and waited and waited for a service man to show up.  We  had no NO refrigerator, but the time period to wait for a service man AND then the parts to show up was NOT acceptable , as a cash customer.  We finally had to rent on, to save some of our food!

I can not say enough good things about our service of repair! Very knowledgeable and efficient!  Kudos to them because I know they must be working in very difficult situations.

Now, this part is in regards to Sears.....been a loyal customer for 33 years! Very frustrated with their products we have purchased since they don't seem to hold up longer than a year, then it takes 2 weeks for an "emergency  call" (their terminology,  not mine) and then another 2 weeks for the scheduled return to replace the broken part!

I do not hold the repairmen responsible for this at all! They do a wonderful job, quick and efficient when they are here.  Either Sears needs to hire more people or make their servicing area smaller.  Something needs to be done!
