Some of the most beautiful country and forest I have ever had the pleasure of being. These piney woods speak to your soul with many gotten treasures to offer. The many different and some ancient trees, beautiful and vast variety of wild flowers and fungi. It's a hunter/gatherers heaven with much to be gathered for those interested in the ever increasing interest in a holistic approach to medicine and general wellness, spiritual awakening and spiritual grounding. Here you will be enchanted by and learn to become one with our beautiful Mother Earth. Peace.

I missed my turn because of the view that I ended up in Lousiana! My luck to go during the weekend before a holiday so I did not quite get the experience I was hoping for. However I did venture to the Indian Mounds Recreation Area. Quiet campground. People were fairly nice and kept to their grounds. I shared a sandwich or two with two beautiful dogs which was the highlight of my trip. The view was spectacular! The rain chased me out while on my way to the Davy Crockett National Forest a little under two hours away. I will attempt to see the rest of Sabine NF in the fall.

It was a beautiful and amazing discovery for me. For a hiking enthusiast like me, Austin became too main stream. So I decided to go east and we found this beautiful place. There are a lot view points and maps were not much helpful. We were disappointed first and almost about to leave but then I decided to check one more place and we were awestruck. It’s a nice and beautiful outing place as you can see in the pics yourself.
