  Came on July 5th to unclog a drain. Fellow did a fine job, I've used S and S many times over the years. However, when I got the bill it was $267 $80.00 an hour for two hours (they rounded up) and I believe another $85 for the sewer routing machine. I have had this company put in two furnaces and a couple of water heaters over the years but they are getting way to expensive for my taste. I complained personally at their office pointing out my past business but to not avail. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do business with them again. If $80 an hour is the going rate for plumbers I don't know how anyone is going to be able to afford one.

  Not recommended. The office manager took my debit card number, indicating that it was for a $85 deposit since I was a new customer. My clogged sink was fixed when I got home. A few days later, my bank account showed a charge for $275, which included 2.5 hours of labor. This charge to my bank was unauthorized as I had only agreed to the $85 deposit. In addition, I felt that 2.5 hours of labor (I live 15 min away from the business) was excessive. A mini-router was used to unclog my line. There was a $45 charge for that. I stated that I should have been called to contacted if there was to be such an excessive charge. Christine, the office manager defended the $275 fee and had no comment as to whether this was a reasonable and customary amount. She also defended the fact that it had charged to my account, but said that she understood my concern when I pointed out that since I had not approved of this and had no idea it would be charged, it could have resulted in an over-draft. She also accused me of slander, because she had become aware that I posted on facebook that I felt the $275 was excessive and that I would not be using them again. That's when I decided that this might be a better location to express my dissatisfaction. It also should be noted that she did not call me back (I complained on Wednesday) until after she heard about the fb post on Friday.
