  Steve Burgess and his crew replaced my failed system (air handler and hear pump) in September, 2017. Once I scheduled the job with Steve, he was prompt, and I judge it a job well done. They finished the job within about 3 hours. The air handler was especially difficult because access to it is in the back of a small closet, with little clearance and tight quarters to work in. Of the bids I received, his was the most reasonable, and I have no regrets. Steve had replaced the fan on the heat pump 2-3 years ago. The replacement fan became unbalanced within the warranty period, and he was prompt to return and replace it. I've been pleased with Steve's work, and recommend him. (Note: Macon Pane is not my legal name... but close enough. This review was not requested, and other than being a customer, I have no other association with Steve or S & S Mechanical. I asked Steve about to the previous bad review. Anyone considering utilizing Steve Burgess for HVAC work should ask as well.)

  Matt, and his crew replaced our unit. He did everything he said he would do, and for the price he said he would do it. They did a great job!!! I highly recommend him for all your heating and air needs!

  I had Larry Smith come out about 6 months ago to put freon in my unit. While out here he replaced the caps on my outside unit with caps that come on the bottles of freon. I didn't know this happened until recently when I had him come back out to put more freon in. I apparently had a slow leak. Larry and his partner Jake put 4 pounds of freon in my unit and said I was good to go. They charged me $245 for the freon and labor on that trip. My HVAC was still not heating my house so I called them back. Jake came out and told me that the pipe from my outside unit to my inside unit needed to be replaced as well as my inside coil. everything was rusted through. I had no freon at all in my system. So I scheduled him to come back out and replace everything later that week. He canceled the appointment 1 hour before he was supposed to be here and wanted to reschedule for the following week. I just couldn't wait with temps falling into the single digits. So I called someone else to come out and told him what was wrong. He came out and checked everything over and told me everything was fine with my inside unit and pipe. He even took the inside unit coil out and showed it to me. No rust or corrosion was found. the only leak I had was coming from a cap that was replaced by Larry. He had replaced it to slowly leak so he could come back about every 6 months to put more freon in it. This company is nothing but a scam. I have requested a refund and have heard nothing back. They will not answer or return my phone calls.
