Unfortunately We had to use Ricks Affordable Heating & Cool bc our home insurance company assigned him to us. Avoid him at all cost! Rick is very unreliable, several times he was a ”no show” for appointments he scheduled. The 2 times he did show up, he didn’t fix the problem and was then was supposed to come back & NEVER DID! Even after saying he had the part we needed he never installed it. I can’t stress enough how TERRIBLE he is! DO NOT Hire Him!!!

Rick, the owner of Rick’s Affordable, is an honest, hardworking, AFFORDABLE contractor that you will be pleased to have hired! He was professional, down to earth, and did an EXCELLENT job replacing our hot water heater in our home. He is a veteran, and we are so blessed to have found such an experienced knowledgeable contractor to replace our hot water heater so promptly. He had substantial communication, and we will hire him again in the future. We highly recommend Rick’s Affordable! He’s known all over Ohio because he has a phenomenal reputation and is highly respected by so many! If you are in need of a contractor that isn’t going to rip you off and take advantage of you, Rick’s Affordable is the contractor you need to hire! Thanks Mr. Rick for everything!

Rick installed my home generator six years ago. He "was" a family member as he married my wife's cousin. I payed him an extra $1000 dollars on top of his quote because it was more than he thought, it was his first home generator. The first outage came and it didn't work. He did whatever and said it would be ok. I have asked him for help to at least show me how to change the oil in the unit. I get nothing but a string of messages and phone calls. I can say I will see you in court. He is far from honest. Yes nice try Rick you lie very bad. You ran zero gas lines it was where my pool heater was. We never changed anything from where the generator was supposed to be. You charged me $600 bucks for two circuit boards you said was a lightning strike you told me. Not me switching high voltage switches. Sure you screwed me there again. I guess all the people below with their reviews that you screwed need help. Again I will see you in court, you need help not me. I hope you get what you deserve for being dishonest with customers Rick. Sincerely, Chris Lajoie.
Response from the owner
Chris Lajoie: I am sorry to hear that you’re frustrated. However, in your story you neglected to mention that the additional money was required because you changed the location of where you wanted the generator to be located. The additional money was used to cover the extra wire and gas line needed to relocate it. As far as it not running during the last power outage, again, you failed to mention an important point. The part you forgot (which is likely due to the condition you seem to be in much of the time) is that you decided it was somehow a ‘good idea’ to start throwing switches on high-voltage electrical equipment that you know nothing about. That is exactly what you were instructed NOT to do when the generator was installed. This is what caused your main circuit board to fry and why it no longer works. As far as returning calls, I have given up trying to deal with you until you come to a place where you take ownership of your behavior. My wish, along with others, is that you seek help soon. Hoping you get better, Rick Montgomery
