We called in the AM and it was repaired that afternoon! The technician was very pleasant and informative. We will definitely use their services again when needed.

Quick and efficient! Two calls in one week for non related issues. Same day and next day calls, arrived on time and didn't make a mess of my wallet.

Robin Anderson, owner & operator of R & J Heat & Air is not a man of his word. My husband & I had a unit installation started on 8-2-19. The unit was scheduled to be installed on 8-1-19 when we awarded the bid in mid to late July 2019. We were repeatedly told by Mr Anderson they would be right out that day or the next for any type of service call, that he stands behind his products and his work. The install was supposed to be completed in one day. Sounded great, right? The install went well I suppose, but the waste (broken underpinning, little metal pieces, wire used for strapping, insulation, uneaten snacks, empty drink containers, cigarette butts, etc.) that was left inside and outside, not well. After they removed the old furnace they were to cut out and seal the furnace flue and with the leftover empty space my husband planned to install a few shelves. Mr Anderson told my husband that would not be a problem, they would cut the furnace flue out and seal up the hole, that he would be happy to do that. (My husband had rotator cuff surgery a few days before and was not able to.) The install was supposed to be an easy one considering the property had been gutted. The 2 servicemen (Gerald & ??) worked from 9 am until dark on Friday (Mr Anderson sent 2 more out about lunchtime to help first two finish on time, didn’t happen) and said they would be back the next day on Saturday to finish up. Never showed up nor called. After waiting few days I called Mr Anderson to see what had happened, I was told a repairman would be out the next day. Didn’t happen. No call either. A couple of days later, Nick showed up to finish the job. The repairman installed the air return box, picked up tools, asked for payment and called it good and left. After our inspection the next day my husband & I discovered the furnace flue insert was still dangling from the ceiling and was NOT cut out and sealed as promised. I call Mr Anderson on Monday, 8-19-19, and was told they were swamped with customers because of the heat and would be out the last part of the week or first part of the next. Didn’t happen. No call, no show. On Friday, 8-30-19 I called yet again to find out what was the reason for a repairman not showing up to complete the job, only to be told again, “ the heat was killing them”, & “lots of folks air was out, and thought we would understand.” I CAN understand. Air conditioning units needing repairs for folks in emergencies I completely understand. I DO NOT understand when the owner of a company tells you he will be out to do a job on a specific day and time and NEVER CALL OR SHOW UP. That’s BAD BUSINESS. Terrible CUSTOMER support. Plain out LYING. I was raised to honor my word, if for some reason I can’t do what I promised I contact the person and let them know so other arrangements can be made. I understand things happen, but for Heavens sake, pick up the blooming phone - call, email or text and let some one know what’s preventing you from doing your job!!! I have yet again - another promise to be out on Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 3, 2019, to fix the furnace flue hole in the ceiling. Mr Anderson’s attitude changed during this last call, from nice & apologetic to unapologetic and snippy. I wonder if we made a mistake using this company. The word of mouth reviews we had been told that this was an excellent company with excellent customer care. We will see what happens. On 9-5-19, tech came out and did cut it from the ceiling but ONLY because I stood behind the guy and kept insisting he remove the whole piece. He repeatedly complained it was difficult, hard to cut. We would have had a partially removed pipe hanging from the ceiling with tin used to patch around the pipe leaving a HUGE UGLY MESS in the ceiling. What we got was a pipe being removed level with the ceiling and a piece of tin being screwed to Sheetrock with sheet metal screws all over the piece so it looks terrible. There is no way to “hide” the metal or the many screws that were used. We DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Update: 9-2-21 NOT returned to do the 1 yr service checkup.
