I have been dealing with R.E. Michel for a few years now. The guys are always helpful and courteous. I may not be the biggest customer , but I am always treated with respect. The guys go out of their way to find the parts you need. I would recommend giving the Providence branch a chance.

A new customer of mine called me because their new Nortek Ductless Mini Split had failed. The system was installed by another contractor and was purchased at R E Michels in Providence. The new customer had called the contractor who installed the equipment and they wouldn't not return their calls so they called me. I found that the Over Load switch was open on the compressor and needed to be replaced. Not being familiar with the brand I Googled Nortek. I spoke with the manufacturer and they informed me the part was under warranty because the unit was about a year old. They informed me to contact R E Michael to obtain the new part under warranty. I called R E Michael in Providence and Jim answered the phone and I told him who I was and what company I was calling from. The first thing Jim said to me was "oh you don't have an account with us" and I replied "what does that mean, I am a licensed mechanical contractor". He replied "well whats the model number", I gave him it. He said "whats the serial number" I gave it to him. He immediately said "oh i don't know what the part is because you don't have a case number". I replied "Its a compressor overload switch, in the diagram I believe it was labeled thermal switch". Jim replies "well im not ordering anything without a case number and a credit card because in the computer it has 2 switches, one is a thermistor and one is an overload and without a case number we don't know which one it is". I said "Jim is the overload. Look to save time i will give you my credit card and just order the switch I will just pay for it instead of being stuck on the phone with them for another hour for a case number". He said "im not ordering the part because i don't have a case number". I replied "are you serious right now?! Are you treating me this way because I don't have an account with you?!" He remained silent. I asked his name, he replied "Jim" and I hung up the phone. This is no way to treat a customer weather they have an account or not. I am just trying to get the part needed to repair my customers Air Conditioning System.
