my mom called due to an add in my local news letter and they came out for a free inspection of an AC unit just over a year old in a brand new home that is as old as the AC unit. The Technician told her the her AC unit has dangerous mold and they could fix it if she paid them 800.00. My mom called me and I talked to the person (i would not give him the respect of calling him a technician as he was a scam artist and poor salesman under the guise of a technician) I called a friend who has worked in the AC industry for over 30 years and if I told you the company's name you would know it and their reputation on line is impeccable. I got the real answers. I then checked out the reviews on line of this company who tried to take advantage of an 80 year old widow. Just as I suspected, When I read the reviews, nothing there changed my mind and in fact it confirmed what I already knew. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of the elderly. May you organization get all that they deserve for doing business the way that they do and preying on the elderly citizens in our community.

Hello Mrs. Placek. My name is Michael DeJesus. I am the General Manager here at Quality Control Air. I would like to apologize for the way you feel your mother was treated and for the lack of service you feel she received. That is never our intention. In regards to your comments, my response is as follows. We were contracted to clean and check the unit, which entails checking for any type of microbial growth that may be forming in the ac system. My tech found the unit coil to be growing a form of microbial growth. At this time it is required to recommend a remedy to prevent such growth from getting worse. It is only a recommendation and should be taken as such. I understand you have a friend in the business but that doesn't mean what we said is untrue. Did this friend look at the unit to find our information to be false? We recommended an ultraviolet light to be installed so that this growth would not compromise the workings of the unit. We could clean the unit, at a cost not included in our introductory offer, but that would not prevent it from coming back. My techs are taught to be thorough and sometimes that means recommending things that unfortunately come at a cost. I'm still not ok with how you feel about the situation and will gladly refund your $29.95. We are not the company that takes advantage of our customers regardless of age and our current reviews are not as you suggested. I hope this appeases you in some way and I wish you a happy holiday season. Thank you Michael DeJesus General Manager

I handled this problem for my Cousins, who were away. The gentleman who came out handled the repair with efficiency, courtesy, knowledge of his job, and completed it quickly and I must say the price was extremely fair for replacing a compasitor! I found Quality Control Air to be fair, ad I would recommend them over the company I have a contract with!!!!! 😳
Response from the owner
Thank you so much for your review, Suzanne! We appreciate you taking the time. Thank you for your business and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

They installed my unit 2 years ago. I called them bc the ac stopped blowing cold. He said I needed pipes at $1800 or!!! He could run a sealant through to plug any leaks for $350. I was hot and not thinking clearly so I agreed. Even after he said my unit didn’t have oil and I asked him to show me where there isn’t any oil- he couldn’t. After several second opinions, I know I was sold something I didn’t need. How could a 2 year old system installed by you already need new pipes?
Response from the owner
Denyce, We apologize you feel this way. The owner that replaced the Air conditioner 3 years ago did not replace the line sets at that time hence our technician recommending them being done now. I hope this clears up your question. If you need anything further do not hesitate to contact our office. We appreciate your business.
