      They were able to come out same day and repair our AC unit. Corey was very professional. He stayed to answer any other questions we had and explained different aspects of our old house and those effects on the heating and air.

      We moved to Amarillo this past year, and found a wonderful house that had been well maintained. This past week 100+ temperatures took their toll on our 9 year old A/C condenser, causing the the capacitor to give up the ghost, and some damage to the windings in the motor. We survived the night so I called PD Heating & Air (because their name was on the sticker on the unit) at 9:00 this morning, knowing full well that they were probably backed up with similar calls. The woman I spoke with on the phone took my information and confirmed that they were extremely busy, but she would try to get a technician out this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the latest. She informed me that he would call prior to coming to the house. Was I surprised when the phone rang about 11:15 and a young man named David asked if someone would be home and that he was in the neighborhood, probably 10 minutes away. I assured him that we were indeed home, and true to his word he arrived (with mask) in about 8 minutes. David quickly diagnosed the problem, and had a capacitor to get us back up and running. He checked the condenser and noted that the motor may have suffered some damage & would eventually need replacement maybe yet this year or next at most. I had him price it up, and he checked to make sure one was available so I had him replace it while we were here. Since he had the grill off the top to replace the motor, he cleaned the inside base & washed the fins as well (no charge.) David took the time to show me everything I could do to keep the unit running smoothly, as well as explained everything that he was doing during the repair. I have our permanent HVAC service folks now, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for fast, efficient, friendly, punctual, and caring service. ps - David represents your company well...I hope he is being well compensated!

      Saying I wouldn't recommend them is an understatement. I called for a service call when my nephews ac wasn't blowing well and freezing up. I have to say they did get there quickly. After assessing the unit, the repairman told my nephew the outside unit and ducting under the house all looked good. He ended up pulling the indoor fan out and cleaned it good which was needed. The next day my nephew called and said it was working worse than before. I called for the repairman to come back. He was there less than ten minutes and said the unit was bad and needed to be replaced, here's the quote. My nephew is in college 75 miles from me and his parents are 5 hours away. But my sister and BIL drive up and look at the situation. BIL looks under the edge of the house and not 5 feet from the corner he can see that the ducting to one half of the house had come up hooked. He repaired it and that unit that was no good is holding a solid 70° now. My nephew is in college and we feel that this company knew he didn't know enough to argue and figured the parents would just fork out the money. SHAME ON YOU PALO DURO HEATING AND AIR! Please don't support a company like this.

      We always try to repair the units first but It had a dirty blower wheel that was nasty and no pump down valves, so the unit would have to be replaced. But we cleaned the blower wheel for the customer., hoping it would help. The service tech told the customer that day he pulled and cleaned the blower wheel, that the unit was very old and on it's last leg. The service tech did tell the customer it needed to be replaced and a price to remove the coil at that time. That is why on the second visit he didn't stay, because he had already done what he could. We DO NOT take advantage of our customers. So sorry but we do not climb under trailer houses and check the duct work, which would have only not cooled that one end.
