  "Thank You" to my Dad's Fellow Brothers and Sisters of Operating Engineers #324: My Dad (Charles Merindorf--65 years with Local #324 - 84 years old) and I visited the Howell Training Center on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. WHAT AN AWESOME FACILITY!! My Dad was amazed and grateful for the opportunity to visit. John Haberkorn greeted us--Calling my Dad "Brother". That made his day!! Along with a Local #324 Michigan "Proud Retiree" hat, decals and pins. My Dad "IS VERY PROUD TO BE A PART OF OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL #324!!" We also had the privilege to meet, Instructor -Rob Ackley and Fellow Union #324 Brothers while touring the outdoor grounds at the facility. Thanks again for making this day happen for my Dad!!   Married to an alcoholic ex husband for 10 years in your union, who physically, mentally, & emotionally abused myself and my daughter. Worked 70+ hours making $200k and still got off not paying in the FOC system, still working in Detroit 4 am to 8pm, is this healthy for my child & I to deal with for the next 14 years? Can your union please start taking action against these men. You would think you could have a little more pride about workmanship, fostering community & promoting leaders in the community; than a dollar bill.
