While I cannot attest to the level or quality of justice served here, I enjoyed my walk about the grounds of the older courthouse. There was a classic monument to the soldiers and sailors of New Kent in the CSA, a monument and historical sign to Martha Custis, George Washington’s widow and General Lee’s great-grandmother-in-law. There are a few historical signs as well which are pretty cool. Worth a stop I suppose if you’re into history, because the area has some very old sights and such. Cheers.
