I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to write this review but after much thought, I felt people needed to know so that they do not deal with the same thing I did. I do not recommend using this company at all. This company was referred to us during the purchase of our home in which the seller agreed to give us a certain amount of money towards electrical work that needed to be done. Benny (the owner) knew what this amount was and after reflection, we are at fault for releasing that information. The original quote for work was $1,000 for 5 smoke detectors and GFCI plugs in both the kitchen and bathroom but the check (originally made out to Muniz) was for $1100. Since they were not doing $1100 worth of work, I originally asked for the $100 to be a refund or to have it put toward something else we needed to be done. Benny completely freaked out about the $100 refund and basically told me he was not going to refund the amount nor put it towards any other work (First sign of unethical behavior). At this point, I should’ve put the closing on hold and walked away but we were under a time constraint. The day the work was performed the two gentlemen that came to do the work were amazing so this has nothing to do with them. Well, come to find out the seller of the home went ahead (unknown to any of us) and had some of the electrical work completed prior to closing. When Benny found out he hung up on me and would not return any of my phone calls to discuss changing the scope of work, he wanted the full $1100 no matter what. Come to find out he also instructed his workers to complete the work on the original estimate ($1,000) even though they had already explained to him that the work did not need to be done (the second sign of unethical behavior again he wanted the full $1100). Because he hung up on me and would not return any of my phone calls, I sent away his workers after thanking them for their honesty and not just doing the work that had already been completed. I requested via email an updated quote for the installation of 4 smoke detectors (Originally quoted for 5) before I would send the payment to them. I never received an updated quote via email but a phone call requesting now $800 be paid for the installation of 4 smoke detectors. I once again asked for an updated invoice via email, which to this day I still have not received. I am writing this review because of the unethical and frankly disgusting behavior of the owner of the company. 1) Who in the world as an owner of a company tells their employees to redo work that they know does not need to be done just to get the money? 2) Who in the world as the owner of a company HANGS UP on a customer trying to explain what happened with the seller of the house and doesn’t bother returning any messages? 3) Who in the world as the owner of a company then refuses to contact the customer or the customer’s real estate agent back until he wants to get paid? Would not even work with us or listen to what happened with the original seller of the house. We had no control or even knowledge that she had completed some of the work already until the electrical crew got here and explained to me that it was already completed and he (the crew sent) didn't understand why it needed to be redone. After a phone call to his boss (Benny) he was instructed to complete the work anyway that was on the original quote which he did not do. After my real estate agent sent a group text requesting once again a written invoice via email, did Benny have one of his employees call my agent and request $650 for the installation of the 4 (originally quoted for 5) smoke detectors, again an updated invoice has not been sent instead now he has his employees showing up at customer houses without prior notification or even considering that these customers work during the day? I am beyond upset about the unethical behavior exhibited by this company and the owner. I would look elsewhere for an electrical company to use, one that is truly honest in their dealings with customers. If I could give zero stars I would.
