  Service guy insisted that we needed a brand new unit. I didn't trust the guy to begin with, not sure why - intuition, I guess. My wife and I decided to get a second opinion from another company, in which we found that we just needed to replace one part, which totaled about $80. If you use this company, I would highly suggest you know what's wrong because their guy will try to sell you something you don't need. If you aren't sure what the problem is, PLEASE use a different company. There are plenty of other options. And don't bother speaking to the owner, that will get you nowhere.

  On 04/15/20 we called Munier after we had a large carbon monoxide reading as they were the ones that had originally put our furnace in (with the prior owners). Two gentlemen showed up on time. They went to the basement and smelled the furnace and said it was the heat exchanger. They didn't dig into the furnace any further then that. They let me know I would need an entirely new furnace and quoted us $3,700. I asked if the part was under warranty as everything I had read online said it should be. He laughed and said no way. The warranties are 10 years and the furnace was over that. He was persistent on the fact that we had to have the same brand of furnace so it would match up with our A/C unit. He then let us know it'd be the following Tuesday (6 days) before they'd be able to come out but that they could provide us with space heaters. Luckily we decided to get a couple more quotes. Another local company came out and took the furnace apart. He verified that the heat exchanger was actually bad and called the furnace company about the warranty. The part was in fact under warranty and for another 7 years! Oh the 4 companies we had come out Munier was the only one that charged us ($79) and were the only ones that didn't explain anything about rebates or look into the warranty (even though they were the ones that installed in). It's now 2 days later and our furnace is fixed (under warranty too!). I am sad that a local company is out just for the sale and not what's best for their costumer. When our furnace does eventually decide to quit we will not be calling Munier as you have lost all of our trust. Shame on you.
