  After replacing several parts on the boiler system (over 2 grand), the boiler is still continuously running with the thermostat never going over 65 degrees. On the last visit, inadequate baseboards to heat the first floor was deemed the culprit as well as the covers on the baseboards were blocking the heat. Why wasn't that just noted in the first place instead of troubleshooting and replacing part after part? Thank goodness the heating season is almost over as the constant running of the boiler has sent the electric Bill's skyrocketing on the house that was just purchased during the past year. Pretty disappointed that the problem wasn't correctly solved and/or diagnosed. Only reason for one star was that the technician was very nice. The section of the basement that contained the boiler system and hot water heater was not affected by the flooding. Thank you for offering to come out and rediagnose whatever is going on. We will take you up on that offer. Just frustrated because we just bought the house and had a home inspection and everything was working fine at that point.

  Thank you for your review Kate. I apologize if we have not met your expectations. The basement had previously flooded, causing some of the damage to the parts that were replaced on our initial visit. Unfortunately sometimes we do need to address one problem before we can troubleshoot another, and I believe this might have been the case here. If you are still experiencing a problem though, we would be 100% happy to send the same technician out, or someone different, at no cost to you to double check the system and re-diagnose and work with you on a resolution.

  Our pilot light went out in the evening and our heat stopped working. We reached out to Modern Heating and Air Conditioning later that night via their online form with the hopes of having someone come out the next day. We received a call early the next morning and Amen was at our door by 10AM. Amen was super knowledgeable and explained the issue clearly along with his recommendation. He was very helpful in answering all of our questions and provided us with a few options to fix the issue. We ended up needing a new furnace and since our water heater was also old and in need of replacing, Amen recommended an option that could replace both of these old appliances and it could be done within a few days. We really appreciated his help and their quick responsiveness and will continue to use this company for our heating system needs.
