  Changed heat pump and thermostat. Thermostat replaced twice in less than a year. When called to ask for clarification we were told “there is no problem” when the fan on the heater keeps on running. They stated they will be no charge for the work but send bill for over a thousand dollars. Did not want to listen to our concerns and were not interested on helping us find the reason for the malfunction of the system they installed.

  My home HVAC system was installed by this company during a recent renovation and they are under a Service Agreement to service it for free for 1 year after the installa tion. They had to come back 3 times to fix their installation, each time taking the tone that something is wrong with us - not with their work. Yet every time, of course, it turned out that the work was not done right. Something is wrong with the system again - there is no AC in the bedroom and bathroom and it's July. They are refusing to come and service. I called on 7/2 to report no AC -- their response was "holiday is coming (July 4th) - we deserve to rest". Today is 7/5 (not a holiday) - now they are saying the weekend is coming and they deserve to be off on a weekend and they are too busy in general - too many people they need to service -- they will get to it after the weekend on Monday (6 days after reported No AC). So after their own new installation this company takes no responsibility for quality of their work and feel that they "deserve" to have a good weekend - while I should spend the weekend without AC, having paid thousands for the new installation. I called another HVAC company - and even thought they didn't install my system, they came out within 4 hours and fixed the problem. Is this because they don't care as the money for the installation is already paid and 1-year service agreement is free? If you don't mind not having AC in July before, during and after Independence day - this is your HVAC company!

  We recently bought a brand new home in Hoboken. Mettler installed the HVAC system. When we called to ask Mettler to service the HVAC system because it was not working properly, Mettler refused to come back because they did not like the guy who built the home. I do not know why anybody would hire a company that does not stand by its work. We have two air conditioning units on the roof and on a 90 degree day, they are unable to get the temperature below 82 inside. We have a full warranty and Mettler still refuses to fix it. Mettler is your classic awful contractor who takes your money and then does not stand by their work.
