I feel that Merrimack Valley Plumbing, LLC (MVP) strives to have satisfied, happy customers by providing quality work for a reasonable price. Having concerns about my boiler's uniqueness (it's outside!), Owner Chris set my mind at ease with his experience with similar units. Along with Plumber Niko, they were professional and very knowledgeable. I look forward to using MVP again.

Super nice people, very responsive, but expensive. The initial phone call was great, and the tech that showed up to my house this morning was very polite as well. I got an estimate of around $600 to replace a 3/4 inch copper fitting that was leaking on a long span of pipe. A word of advice to this company is to be real about what parts actually cost, and if it’s going to be $500 in labor then just bill it as labor. The tech told me he needed to talk to his boss about what the job should cost, but then also told me that he doesn’t set pricing and it’s all in the computer when I looked shocked at the price breakdown (What? You just called your boss for pricing, lol?). Ultimately I’ll be doing this one myself, I wanted to save time and figured it would be about 1/2 of the quoted price given the market cost of materials. The major turn off here was seeing how much I was being charged for the individual fittings and pipe - labor is labor, don’t hide it in the $4.89 fitting from Home Depot that is being billed as $197 per piece (actual quoted prices). I’m sure they do excellent work, and if you aren’t handy then the price is what it is, but that price gauge felt a bit like a smack for someone that has walked down that aisle in Home Depot. Again, if you don’t feel comfortable or don’t have the time I’m sure they are great given the interactions I had. Seeing the 3,928% increase for parts though REALLY turned me off. If they billed $60 for parts and the rest in labor, it probably wouldn’t have stuck out like a sore thumb.

I called to have something looked at. Jonathan, the owner, called me back quickly and arrived within an hour to take a look. He explained the problem and what needed to be replaced. He gave me a quote as well. He was pleasant, professional, and not pushy about having service done. I will continue with this company when I need plumbing things done.
