  This experience was effortless from beginning to end. I was anxious about installing a heat pump in my 200 year old, drafty, home, but the salesman, who visited my home, answered all my questions. I felt he didn't try to snow me with false promises, but gave me a very balanced description of what I could expect, given my home's parameters. I took some time to think about whether this was the best answer for my heating problems, and the company answered all my questions, contacted me enough so that I could gather more information, but in no way did they hard sell or pester me into making a decision. In fact, they gave me factual information that helped me to make my final decision. The two young men who installed my heat pump were exemplary. They were patient, were very gentle with my old house, and thoroughly explained all my questions. In addition, they shoveled my walkway, which they could have expected to have been done in anticipation of their arrival. So far, I am very pleased with the heat pump. I have yet to receive my first electricity bill, but given the recent massive increases in all fuel costs, I have prepared myself that this may be more expensive than I originally planned for. Although, I hope to be pleasantly surprised. I will recommend this company without reservation. I generally try to stay within my community for the work that I need, but, on this occasion, the better value and service was definitely outside my community and with MAC heat pumps.   This review is long overdue. Mac Heat Pumps came all the way down to our house in the Sebago Lake Region to do a deep cleaning of our five mini-splits back in November. My family and I all have very bad fragrance and chemical allergies and were concerned with the types of cleaners they might use to clean our units. Kim was very helpful in answering our questions and was genuinely concerned with our well being and wanted to make sure that they would be able to provide us with a worthwhile cleaning. This all took place during the Pandemic and Kim assured us that they would accommodate our health concerns and require any technician that came to our house would wear a mask the entire time they were here. The technician she sent, Jeff, was very nice and he took his time and thoroughly cleaned our units with just hot water. He was quick and efficient even though he was working alone and he took the time to explain things to us and tell us how to operate the units so that we could prevent some of the moisture build up in the units during the summer months. He also re-insulated around one of the units to make it more efficient. Over all we are very happy with this company and their employees and plan on recommending them to everyone we know! Thank you again Mac Heat Pumps! You guys rock!

  Welcome To Housing Home Goods Bank, Inc. received a large grant to buy a building we've used for over 4 years. We opted to get a heat pump system and we went with MAC Heat Pumps on recommendations we heard from a good source. We're very happy not only with the system but also with the process from the planning to the installation which was very professional.
