Locke has been very responsive to our calls which included getting an estimate for a heat pump for our forced air system to provide air conditioning. Their price was $2000 less than the Home Depot installer. That installation went very well with no surprises. Today it was 100 degrees and our AC was not keeping up with the heat. I called in the morning and Brock came out in the afternoon and added more refrigerant in just a few minutes. We live almost 50 miles from their location and we appreciate their rapid response in our rural area.

It took me awhile to find a consistent AC company. Locke Air is that company! They come when they say they’re coming and they communicate with you. We have a very busy office and they’ve been so accommodating! Thank you Locke Air !! 🙏

Living up in the mountains, it is far too cold for the heat pump system that came with my home (I had only recently moved in). Bob Locke inspected my heating system, and explained that the appropriate size of the system based on my home's square-footage would entail a system approximately twice as big. The cost to place what Mr. Locke deemed as an "appropriate-sized" heat pump system far exeeded my budget. Therefore, we decided that as a "quick fix," adding heating strips to my current system would be a cost effective method of heating my home when the temperature outside would be too cold for my existing heat pump system. I spent $900 to have his technician install heat strips to my system. After the Locke Aire technician installed and tested the system during the end of the week, I proceeded to use my new heat strips throughout the weekend.....after about five to ten minutes, the fuse connected to the heating system in my fuse panel was tripped resulting in the heating system to shut down. I reset the appropriate fuse and it happened again. This routine replicated itself on each successive attempt. I called Locke Aire throughout the week at his business number to discuss this problem, and specifically asked for owner Bob Locke. I did not receive a call back. I considered this a semi-emergency as temperatures throughout the week of having no heat dipped down at night to the high-twenties. Having Mr. Locke's cell phone number, I called him that friday. He told me that he installed the heat strips although he had already told me during our consultation that my electrical system running the heating system was wired incorrectly! First Question: Who installs a heating system for a customer KNOWING the electrical system is faulty? Apparently, there were two wires running into a single breaker of the wrong size in the fuse panel; an electrician later explained to me this was the reason for the heating strips to consistanlty short-out and thus trip the fuse. At any rate, Mr. Locke proceeded to tell me "I told you that you really need to add another heat pump system." Incidentally, he wanted to charge me around $9,000 for it! I maintained that I wanted the heat strips that I had just paid for to work properly, and asked him what I should do? Mr. Locke told me that I needed to go outside and pull out some electrical pull-out device under a panel next to the heat pump everytime I desired to use my heating strips. I would later be told by my electrician that this is dangerous and only an electrical professional should be working in the pull-out panel area. Mr. Locke then told me -- after I spent $900 -- that I was "wasting his time!" Need I say more about this business?
