I would like to share my experience with Lifestyle Solar. I called to ask for some information. I was very surprised by their professionalism. Bill Gutierrez answered all my questions. He really went beyond my expectations. He has great personality, and he has a lot of knowledge. I would definitely recommend this company. Thank you for your time Bill.

My review is a little different than the others, My review has to do with one of their drivers that came extremely close to causing a accident last week when I was driving up Shaw Ave & this driver was pulling out from a side street, Not even looking to see if any cars were coming his way, he pulled out as if he was the only one on the road, I had to swerve to keep him from slamming into my passenger side which is where my 8 year old granddaughter was sitting, she actually leaned over because she thought we were going to get hit. This driver really needs to be held accountable because eventually he's going to kill someone.

Purchased my home in June of 2020, had lifestyle solar install solar panels on my home, after a month I noticed that the solar braker was in the off position after calling them they initiated the permit process with PG&E and turned on the braker. After all that I was under the impression that I was generating solar power. After eleven months, I hired a company to come and clean the panels, they informed me that the Rooftop shut off switch was in the off position. I asked them to please turn it on and I then contacted Lifestyle to please come and check my system. There customer service is horrible, they refused to come check my system. I contacted PG&E and they verified that my panels never produced energy until the switch was turned on by the cleaning company. I have attempted to contact lifestyle solar, but they will not assume responsibility, according to them they install solar panels they do not guarantee that they will produce energy. Now I am stuck with a huge true up bill from PG&E. Whatever you do, do not use Lifestyle, worst company!!!!
Response from the owner
Hello Pedro, Thank you for reaching out with your feedback. Reviews like yours are greatly appreciated as we continuously work towards providing all our customers with an excellent experience. I have personally looked into your situation in hopes to find clarity for you. With regards to you mentioning that the breaker was not on within the first month of moving in was due to permission to operate was not yet approved by PG&E at the time. The paperwork was submitted June 9th, 2020 and officially accepted July 10th, 2020, so finding it off meant that it was still pending approval. Turning on the breaker any time before then will result in an immediate fine. After approval our company head personally went out to your home ensuring that your solar panels were on and functioning. After install and successful operation we are no longer involved because on the purchase of your home you were presented with additional options that included production guarantees and monitoring and all these options were declined. Despite this, we still provided two complimentary visits ensuring that your panels were and are functioning. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about your PG&E bills because again the options of coverage were denied. In these cases your system is only a base system to cover only a % of electric usage and if bills are outstanding then it probably is due to high electricity use in the household. Pedro, we here at Lifestyle apologize for a bad experience despite our many efforts. Wish you the best and have a good day.
