DO NOT USE!!! They will not deliver unless your driveway it is spotless. They refused to deliver for 3 days after driveway was salted and sanded. All other delivery trucks were able to make it. They refused to come even after I told them we were out of oil. I was very pleased with their maintenance service and never expected to be treated like this.
Response from the owner
Hi Carl, While you have hired us to make automatic deliveries of oil to your home, occasionally, there are circumstances that are out of our control that prevent this from happening. We work very hard to make sure our customers get their oil deliveries when they need them. However, we cannot control the accessibility of a customer’s property due to weather. If driveways are not plowed and we cannot access the fill pipe, we must put the safety of our employees, our equipment, and your property first. As per our terms or service, customers are responsible to provide us with a safe place to park and safe access to their fill. If drivers cannot safely enter the property, they are instructed to move on to their next stop. Oil trucks, unlike everyday passenger vehicles, are extremely heavy when full of fuel and even the slightest skid on the ice can cause a situation that might not only damage customer property but may also result in injury to the driver. This would be unacceptable to Levco and to our customers. So, when winter events occur, we ask our customers to plow their driveways, put down salt when needed, and shovel a clear path to the fill. In your situation, we called several times to let you know we could not deliver until this was done. On the rare occasion that a customer loses heat due to running out of oil, Levco is available by phone 24/7. We will dispatch a technician who carries enough oil on their van to get the equipment restarted. But again, we ask our customers to keep in mind that even technician vehicles need a safe way to access the property to provide service.

I just got off the phone with them and I am truly disappointed. They seemed so nice and took all my information until they asked how many gallons I would like and I said it depends on your current price. She asked me if I was a member and I said no. She then told me that they would not be able to assist me tonight because I’m not a member. I feel like she didn’t want to assist me because I didn’t say the amount of oil I wanted. I asked “so you will not be able to assist me during an emergency because I’m not a member?” She said no I can’t get through to them they will give you a call in the morning. So can I not get oil because I’m not a member or because she couldn’t get through to anyone? Im disappointed because I do have an emergency. If they only assist their “members” 24 hours then that should be stated on the website. I will not be using them in the future even for regular delivery.

Hi Monique, Sorry to hear about your poor experience but I do not believe it was with Levco. Maybe you called another company? Levco does not have memberships nor do we offer one-time emergency deliveries. You might be referring to one of the local CoOps. If you are located in lower Fairfield County and are looking for a new oil company that offers customers automatic oil delivery and 24/7 service, please give us a call. -Levco

Horrible Experience. The company came to deliver oil and stated that my whistle gauge on the oil tank in the house was not reading and had to send someone to check. No charge unless a part had to be taken care of. How did they assume this when everything is inside the house? I thought I could trust their opinion. They sent a person to the house who said they had to blow out my pipe to deliver oil air was in it. A man came - took them maybe 10 minutes to look and the guy told me no charge when leaving. Then without notice charged to my credit card, that they had conveniently on file, I saw a 170 dollar bill for this visit on my credit card statement. No COMMUNICATION AT ALL ABOUT CHARGE THEY LIE LIE LIE!!!! It took several phone calls to talk to someone---very rude told me that I knew I would be charged---straight out lies. I would not even give them one star but I have to in order to post. WOULD NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY--DO NOT USE OR TRUST LEVCO!!

Hi Theresa, Thank you letting us know of your concerns about your experience with Levco. Based on the conversation you had with one of our service representatives on March 2nd, you were made aware that the appointment to clear out your vent alarm would be billable. Though the alarm is located beneath the vent pipe above your tank inside, it produces a continuous, high-pitched whistling sound loud enough for the delivery driver outside of your house to hear. An oil tank vent alarm is a critical overfill safety device that prevents overfilling the tank and spilling oil into your basement. During your service appointment on March 3rd, our technician noted an obstructed vent alarm. He took apart the union, cleared the vent alarm and noted that everything was in working order when he left. Our technician's clock time and geocoordinates placed him at your house for 25 minutes. For calls such as these, Levco charges a minimum call out fee, which is what you were charged. We apologize for any confusion there might have been with our technician and we’d be glad to talk about this further with you if you'd like. Please feel free to give the office a call at any time. Thank you.
