      Recently, I had Lee's Heating & Cooling install a heat pump system as well as a new furnace. The team of Tony, Travis, and Caleb #2 worked diligently; were particular about cleaning up after themselves; explained daily what progress had been made; and were very pleasant to have in my home. I would highly recommend Lee's Heating & Cooling!

      My husband and I are senior seniors(!) and we have a new in-ground pool that we’ve enjoyed all summer, especially with our children and grandchildren. When it started getting a little cooler a month ago, we went to turn on our pool heater, only to discover it didn’t work. It appears that when it was installed, no refrigerant was added. Simple solution, right? WRONG! I contacted Pentair, the company that manufactures the heater, and no less than five heating and cooling companies were given work orders to come fix our heater. Nothing happened. Finally last week, I received the sweetest message from Dana with Lee’s Heating and Cooling, saying how sorry she was for all the trouble we’ve had and that they would be happy to send a technician out to fix our pool heater today. And they did. Caleb, a very nice, thoughtful professional drove two hours from Staunton, VA, to fix our heater. He spent three hours taking the heater apart to make sure everything was working correctly, then added the missing refrigerant. He very patiently showed me how to turn the heater on and off and how to set the temperature. He didn’t leave before setting it himself to the desired temperature and leaving it on. It’s hard for me to believe how many poor heating and cooling companies there are … companies that simply don’t show up when a potential customer needs help. But Lee’s is different. They truly care. And if Dana and Caleb represent what the other employees of this excellent company are like, no wonder they are so exceptional. Give them a call and you’ll be as delighted as I am with their service.

      paid $2079.00 for a $545.00 hot water tank, that only took 2.5 hours to install and remove old tank. a fair price should be $1200.00. We feel they over charged us $800.00

      We see you are not happy with the price of installing a new water heater. You approved the replacement of the water heater and had ample opportunity to decline the installation. It seems you used a price from Lowes. First and foremost, we do not purchase major appliances like water heaters and faucets from Lowes. We purchase quality water heater for professional use. Our water heater tanks have thicker steel and lining material, have brass drain valves vs plastic, and better heating elements. So there is a large difference between the two. In your price assumption, you have not figured time to investigate the source for the leak, discussion on the proper solution, travel to retrieve the material and water heater, installation, removal and disposal of old water heater. We also have an office, insurance, fuel, electric, etc. The partial cost of running a professional business is included in the cost of replacement which was not included in your calculation. You called us on a Saturday, in which we returned your call within ten minutes, you preferred to wait until Monday, as you did not want to pay overtime rates. You were the first call on Monday, and with your consent, we replaced your defective water heater and was finished before noon. You called a professional company with over 50 years in business. With that, you should expect a professional price. We responded to you in a very timely manner and resolved you water heater issue. Giving us a 1-star rating is a misrepresentation of the experience. You did not like a price, that does not constitute a 1-star rating.
