  I purchased an older home recently and knew the AC would need some work. Upon moving in I had Kurt’s out. They checked everything and I needed a water condensate (I think that’s what they’re called). I paid $500 for the whole process. Unfortunately at the time I was also undergoing a mold remediation due to some mold issues in the kitchen, so I told the technician that I could not run the AC as I was told this would spread the mold spores. So we wouldn’t be able to test the unit before he left……. But he told me exactly what to do and said to call if I had any issues at all. I did as he said a few days later and the unit seemed fine. After that the unit remained either off or in heat mode and the AC was not used at all until this weekend. I turned the AC on and it ran all day but never got lower than 78 degrees. My dad thought the breaker had tripped so he came and checked it. He flipped it and it still didn’t cool. So I called Kurt’s and they had a technician back to my house Monday morning. The technician did his thing and then told me the breaker was tripped. I found this odd and told him that we had already tried that. He said sometimes you have to flip the breaker over and over until it works. Then charged me a $135 call fee. This is completely outrageous. The call out fee itself is ridiculous and I have low expectations that he “fixed” my issue. Then we discussed the fact that I’ll likely need a new unit soon and he quoted me approximately $5,800 for a 1000 square foot house. Definitely my last dealings with this company. Not sure if I just got a bad technician or if I look gullible because I’m a single woman and look like I wouldn’t know any better. Either way, it was total BS.

  Good Evening. We are always disappointed to hear that a customer has had a bad experience. However, this review is quite shocking. We were there this morning, you said nothing to our tech about your dissatisfaction and never called our management to discuss any concerns. To clarify, the condensate pump you mentioned we installed in December and was a pre approved estimate and price. To our knowledge it has functioned properly, even as of today. You gave us positive feedback at the time and even tipped our technician. For us and for most customers that is a success. This issue today was something entirely different, unrelated to your pump. If it was functioning when our technician left, we are not sure what we could do differently other than create a false diagnosis or take advantage of you having an older unit and insist it couldn’t be fixed. We are very consistent in our pricing. To suggest you were charged differently because you are a woman is actually quite hurtful as we are a female owned company. We are always willing to discuss concerns and explain our pricing. It is however out of the ordinary to have this conversation within this platform as a result of a review without the opportunity to offer clarification. We would always encourage you to give us a call.

  Our AC went out July/2020 and our experience with Kurt's was exceptional! Two days ago our heat stopped working and we called Kurt's that day and yesterday 2 technicians arrived on schedule. John and Brian quickly troubleshooted, diagnosed and photographed the problem within 20 minutes! They showed me the photos and told me how much it would cost to repair and they had us back up and running again in no time! John and Brian were very professional, courteous, conscientious and they did a great job! We also want to give praise to the woman who handled my call and service request! We give Kurt's an overall rating of "Exemplary" Thank You! Most Respectfully, Jay & Patti House

  I Highly recommend this company! Family Owned & operated, they were extremely professional & prompt in every aspect of our experience! From the time we got our quote until they were finished it was an extremely wonderful experience. The men that were sent to do the work were extremely courteous & never in 3 days of work did I hear or experience any foul language! It was so nice to have such courteous people working at my home. These men had their work cut out for them & they stepped up & did an amazing job. Meanwhile, the owners were in constant contact with me about the job. Great company would give 10 stars if I could! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
