  Gustavo was great. On time and was easy to talk to about our furnace. He explained everything he was doing and what he found. It felt like he was honest with me and transparent about the issues he found and his recommendations. He found my igniter was going out and suggested I replace it. But didn’t force me to do it immediately. Overall, prices for simple replacements seem to be high at Kern, given the price of the parts. But I hope they are paying their employees well. Especially when they’re already there on site. But I trust their opinions. Decent pricing on maintenance packages.

  I called, because our heat had gone out, at 7:50 am on a Monday morning and had someone at my door at 8:15 am. The technician did a very thorough diagnostic of our furnace and determined that our unit was about 10 years past it’s useful lifespan and was potentially leaking carbon monoxide (camera showed several cracks on the heater coil) so Marissa, a Comfort Advisor, was dispatched the same day to show us our options. Once we picked our new unit we were on the schedule for the following morning. The two technicians showed up on time and were very professional and we had heat again that afternoon. Can’t say enough good things about our whole experience. Thank you to the entire Kern Heating and Cooling crew. Will S. from Waukegan

  Scheduling was quick and easy and I received a professional and friendly technician and great service! He was on time, worked quickly, and gave a quick synapse of how my HVAC looked and what was needed for this visit. I’m very glad I chose them.
