  I was charged by the hour at their normal hourly repair rate twice to drive to Dayton and pick up 1 thermostat under warranty because it was not in stock. I would think it is common sense to call the parts store to confirm the part is in stock. It just seems unethical to be charged 412.00 in service fees alone (including initial diagnostics fee) to replace a warranty thermostat that took no more than 1 labor hour. Otherwise, he was very friendly and did the repair satisfactorily.

  We are sorry that we did not explain to you well enough that your iComfort control (Thermostat) is a proprietary communicating control for your system. The replacement that was in stock was an M30 that we found out only after we retrieved it that the manufacturer would not honor the warranty. Our technician then called you to explain and you decided to wait for the S30 control that would be covered under warranty which was a lower cost for you. Unfortunately due to Covid shortages many electronics are not as available as they should be. We do charge for all of the technician’s time while handling your service call even if we are not in your home. This does include any travel time retrieving non truck stock parts, warranty filing and returning the parts for warranty coverage. Our trucks are monitored with GPS tracking that our office can assist you with during our normal business hours. The iComfort was not listed for your warranty coverage properly at the time for registration and this also caused a delay. We are not the installing contractor so the original warranty registration is out of our hands. We diligently continued to solve your problem to restore the operation of your system as best as we could. Please contact our office with any other concerns.

  They came and were very professional. Austin even had to wait 25 minutes for me to arrive. Austin was not rattled by that. He got the job done very quickly. I would recommend them to everyone.

  As a new customer of Jent Mechanical, I couldn't be more satisfied. Air conditioner died during the summer and they responded quickly and installed new unit promptly. Merging new unit into old system required some ingenuity but that was handled well. When I called for pre winter service, once again they were prompt and competent.
