I purchased a house from Jagoe in July 2021, and definitely at a premium price - the price had increased by $8,000 in one month. I have had never ending problems with the house, and no professional response from anybody at Jagoe Homes. I have had standing water in my yard for 5 months, and twice Jagoe sent a "landscaper" to solve the problem. The last attempt I was never even notified they were coming or what they were doing. Now, after sending photos to the representative from Jagoe who is supposed to take care of issues on new homes, she is again sending the "landscaper" out to solve the problem. All they do is sell and leave you standing and not doing anything about the problems. I have other issues that I have been waiting to get addressed, and not even a response from the representative who handles their warranty.

Jagoe built our home last fall. We love our home, and our location. However, it has not been without issues. Response to numerous flaws received no response until a very pointed email was sent. That prompted a visit from the vice president and several things were quickly addressed. The kitchen countertop edge piece was chipped, and they quickly brought a piece and replaced it. That night it fell off on the floor. It was then we found a large chip that installer had colored in with a black marker. Another countertop was ordered and was supposed to take two weeks. After two months, we started to question and complain. It miraculously just came in. It was installed, and has a blister in the top. Has to be replaced again. We inquired about switching and spending the money on granite tops, but were told that's not allowed. So we wait again. Water under the kitchen sink. Four days to get the plumber to come check it. The drain fittings had not been tightened. Shouldn't have to wait four days for a water leak. I had to remove and reinstall the faucet handles as most were not properly set and were loose and couldn't be tightened. Missing trim on cabinets. A guy finally comes and brings a couple of feet of the trim. There's about eight feet missing. Our home is supposed to include a fully sodded yard. We we assured that as long as the weather stayed nice that we would have our yard by the time we moved in. As we watched the progress we kept asking about the yard. They started hedging on a completion time, but were told as long as the weather holds out. Finally, we were told that the yard should be done prior to move in. It wasn't done. We were then told 4-6 weeks after closing. I knew then that it would be too cold. We closed on December 20, and its now March 30, 2022. No yard. We said from the start that the yard had to be done as we have a couple of dogs. We had made a straw path to the kennel. Two weeks ago a guy came and did a rough grade as he called it. The straw path was removed. The yard is dirt again and we cant get to the kennel if it rains. They have no place to use the bathroom. In closing, I would just say there were a lot of empty promises to hook us into buying. They failed to deliver on some things they assured us of. In speaking with my new neighbors the common theme seems to be that there is a lack of responsiveness when things need corrected or repaired. A feeling of you have the money, you no longer care about me, and it's time to move on to the next sale. I know there are going to be problems, but respond and get it fixed. Keep your promises and put my grass in like you promised would be done four months ago.

I was hesitant to build a home 600 miles from where I live, especially since it was on my own lot, but the entire team at Jagoe made it so easy. They were great from the initial design work, revisions I wanted to an existing floor plan, and site work that had to be done to make this home possible. The framing crew was amazing, and all the finishes were top notch. Their warranties are a great incentive. I would highly recommend Jagoe to anyone considering building a new home. Mike, the construction superintendent was the best!
