Hudson installed my furnace. It's had issues with the flue freezing solid when it's very cold out. They've charged hundreds of dollars to fix something I think is an installation problem. In the end I resolved it myself.

We tried to rent an airbnb from the owner, Richard. The place was locked and no one answered our calls or messages. Meanwhile the birthday weekend for our one year daughter was ruined. After driving 5 hours, we had no place to stay and had to drive 5 hours home. If that’s any reflection of how he functions as a human and attempts to run an establishment , I’d steer clear of doing any business with him.

This company is garbage. Beware. I've had a couple small issues with them that I didn't think much of but I'll go over the biggest problem. I paid them $522 to install a dishwasher that I purchased at lowes. I thought the price was steep, but I figured "whatever, it's installed." And moved on. They were also supposed to install counter tops. This had to be done on another day because the first counter tops were too short (I supplied the counter tops). When they installed the correct length counter tops, they tried to charge me $920! They claimed they were there for 7 hours putting on counter tops. I called them on it and they lowered my invoice to $540. I thought the nightmare was over, but when my tenants tried to use the dishwasher and it didn't work I called them to have them come out and recheck their work. They told my tenants it was a faulty piece on the dishwasher and I needed to file a claim under warranty. They never called me to explain this. They did nothing to fix the problem. I called beyer appliance to go to the house and check the dishwasher. Seeing as hudson mechanical took it out of the box to install it, I refused to believe it was a problem with the dishwasher. Beyer appliance took one look at it and said there was no problem with the washer, but that hudson mechanical installed the flood safe hose backwards (so every time the dishwasher was turned on, water was shut off and not going to the washer). He flipped it around, the dishwasher worked perfectly and I paid him $95.00 to do this. I made an attempt to get the $95 reimbursed by hudson mechanical and they have ignored me. This was the second time this company tried to blame my appliance or fixture instead of fixing their work. By the way, the faucet at my shop still leaks. The brand new faucet (again out of the box) that the owner said and I quote "was a cheap piece of crap made in mexico" and I "shouldn't buy fixtures from menards." I've bought several faucets from menards with no issue. Shoddy plumbing is another story though....
