      I have posted the exact same content below for my Yelp of HomeWorks. I suspect they are manipulating their Google reviews. See the terrible Yelp rating. I also received a postcard from HomeWorks thanking my for my google review BEFORE I left one! I think these 5-star reviews are fake. I contacted HomeWorks and two other plumbing companies for an estimate for several plumbing projects. I had no experience with the company and didn't know anyone who did. The estimator made a big deal about putting on his shoe protectors when I said he didn't have to. He said, "Oh, we HAVE to wear them." Everything was focused on how much they cared about their customers and took care of the customers' homes as if they were their own. Then he proceeded to quote me $12,000 for my projects. Other well-rated, reputable plumbing companies' estimates were less than 10% of that (less than $1200). Really? Just how dumb do you think I am? Today, I was flushing my water heater and noticed that he'd slapped a sticker on my water heater that says, DO NOT REMOVE and has their number on it to call for maintenance. We never even hired these people. They want 10 times the amount I should have paid. I guess they have to charge more for their expensive marketing campaigns and vehicle wraps. Sorry, your marketing budget is not my problem. Beware if you're female and/or have what appears to be an expensive house. Also, I can't believe the difference between their Yelp rating and their Google Reviews. Something seriously hokey going on with the Google reviews. Shysters.

      Let me start by saying I am in no way an expert. But Nate the technician you came to my home after recommended by the inspection when I purchased it. He identified some critical things with the system and some recommendations. Nate answered my questions and I ended up going with everything he recommended. He even had his manager talk to me as well and they ended up giving me additional savings! The experience itself was great and made me feel good about my new home. Could they have possibly sold me on stuff I didn't need? Yeah. But that could have been any company and at least these guys answered questions, explained things in a way that made sense, and made me feel like they weren't squeezing money out of me. I trusted them to do what they needed to do.

      Scheduling was horrible. I was never actually scheduled after being told I was and had to call back after my appointment time had been wasted waiting. I was told someone would call me. I had to call again, long after being told I would be contacted, in order to make sure someone was actually coming. For half an hour of work, it was over $300, even after a membership discount and a service coupon. This isn’t the first or second, or even third, time they’ve gotten me with astronomical rates, so shame on me, but we don’t know any good small business tradesmen. Charge transparency is completely lacking, so we never get told exactly what we’re paying all that money for. At least the call takers are polite. 2/10 for the business. Adam did a great job, offered a third replacement option that saved me a lot of money, and quickly fixed our broken shower faucet. He was kind, pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. I hope to see him stick around for a long time and I highly recommend him. 10/10 for the employee.
