  Inept. Went in with my contractor to place a large order for fencing and was passed off twice by associates who announced they were going home. Third associate was sweet, but didn't know how to place a special order because it was only his third day. He took down a list of what we needed and promised to have someone look into it. I was embarrassed to have wasted my contractor's time and also confused as to why there was not anyone available who could've helped. Contacted customer service and was put in touch with an associate who promised to handle the quote and offer contractor pricing because of the volume of the order. At first the associate argued the fencing I wanted wasn't available in different heights but when I pushed back, he was able to find the correct product. The quote I later received was significantly HIGHER than if I just ordered everything myself from their website. When I questioned it, I was sent a new quote which was on par with online pricing. Customer service offered to clarify the quote as it did not reflect contractor pricing, but did not get back to me in the time frame that was promised. Decided to order fencing through my contractor despite the extra expense because Home Depot had proven themselves to be too unreliable and incompetent.
