  I purchased vinyl flooring from The Home Depot in 2013 in New Hartford. I researched thoroughly prior to buying their product. This flooring simulates hardwood planking which is guaranteed for 25 years from water penetration and has a label directly on the box stating 'scratch resistent'. 45 + hours later after prepping & installing it myself, I found one obvious problem; the floor scratches very easily. Long story short: Home Depot sent out their inspector, who then reported back to the supplier & the depot. The process took about 4-5 weeks but they gave me a full refund of the material used and that which was not used. The flooring looks nice but is not as stated on the box, at least the scratch resistant label. And though the flooring is somewhat problematic, the way The Home Depot (both at the New Hartford store and the company in general) handled the situation showed excellent customer service.

  I'm a retired general contractor. So I plan on doing the entire kitchen renovation myself. I want to have their home service's department measure my existing building space, and then work with me to finalize design ideas, prints and the final renderings. Their staff is competent and pleasant to work with. I would highly reccomend them to design, as well as build out your project.
