  AC Winter Storage NYC is the same as Hitech Central Air Inc. Both should be avoided. Because you never responded to calls or emails, I relied on one air conditioner this past summer. Similarly, you sent two inexperienced high school students to install the air conditioner in the top half of a double hung window. I mentioned that both issues were my primary concerns when I surveyed companies the previous summer, when the air conditioners were removed for storage and in late spring 2021 when scheduling the return of 1 a/c and the theoretical purchase of a new one. I received no counsel on a potential new unit or purchase one without your counsel. Two high school students who had never installed an a/c in the upper part of a window arrived late and clueless. They placed the air conditioner in the upper left corner (vs. center), charged me for plexiglass – not mentioned in advertisements or in discussion - no insulation but an abundance of long screws. I wrote no fake review; I cited facts. The number of times Hitech has relied on accusations of fraudulent reviews and conspiracy suggests truth in the critical commentary. However, I do agree that 35F is heating time. Unfortunately, the cold drafts from the window where your company installed the returned air conditioner is an ongoing irritant. Failure to heed my concerns or acknowledge my communication efforts and the questionable quality of Hitech work means I could not and cannot rely on your firm to remove the air conditioner for winter storage and risk a repeat of the same problems again in the spring. I have attached photos to corroborate the reality of my comments. I have already telephoned and emailed repeatedly in June 2021, but got no response. Regrettably, neither a $20 discount nor bombastic invitations to identify lapses in AC Winter Storage NYC services are sufficient incentive to engage your firm.

  I definitely recommend looking elsewhere for AC services. Last year Hi Tech took up a week of my life at the beginning of the pandemic because they kept failing to show up for their scheduled appointments and giving me the run around over a bracket for my window unit. I told them (in writing) before my appointment time that I needed a bracket for my window unit, and they said they would provide it for $49. They did not, and then they tried to install my AC unit in my fourth floor window (in a six story building) without a bracket, which is against NYC law. They said they would provide the bracket for free to make up for the inconvenience, then changed their minds and tried to charge me for the bracket once they'd installed it several days later. They made a mess trying to install it incorrectly the first time, then made a mess again removing it from my window when I said I wouldn't pay for the bracket that I was told I would get for free. (For the record, my super ended up installing the unit for me and he had a bracket that he just gave me for no charge. I should have given up on Hi Tech and just had him do it when they tried to install it with no bracket!) There's also something weird going on with their email account- I somehow got CC'd on an email from a stranger who was reaching out to this company about a part on their AC unit that Hi Tech had replaced a year ago and which was already broken. (I had actually forgotten to post this review until I was mysteriously CC'd on some stranger's email and remembered how awful this company was!) This place is unprofessional and disorganized.

  TOTALLY NOT A FAKE REVIEW. They showed up at our location on 1/25 to do a diagnosis, but never gave us the report. They told us they would contact me in the afternoon to give a time to fix the issue and repair it the next day. It took 3 days for someone to actually speak to me, named Navie. They did not give me a direct answer except after more 5 times attempt. Only to be told that they needed 3 more days. Then I told them I will use someone else and would not refund me. I said then give me the diagnostic. They refused and said we told you verbally. They never told me anything except it take 3 days. That is not diagnostic. It is extremely unprofessional.
