I have only been here in winter for Trappers. The park rangers are very friendly and helpful. Site payment is pretty low tech by paying at pay stations after arrival. Payment is pretty reasonable and season passes are also available if you are a frequent visitor. We have been here 5 times over 6 years and always had good times. Electric sites in north east loop are very large and lots of space. Some can be a bit muddy in places after rains and for the ones I have stayed in particularly 1 and 2 on the south side of the NE loop. There is lots of dry area but some mud getting in and out of the site. Some sites can be difficult to get into in that NE loop and are better suited to tent camping. Its a fun place to visit and worth the price of admission to camp. Water will require a filter and is a bit sandy. I wouldnt drink it without boiling first but we have only been there in winter only so not sure if theres a difference in summer. The creek running through the park is peaceful and seperates the camping areas nicely. There is a walking bridge between the sides as well.

The trails are in need of some tender loving care, but it is beautiful & peaceful, & great for upper elementary or middle school kids to enjoy nature. The park personnel are very genuine & helpful. And the bait shop is loaded with goodies & inexpensive.

Really nice campground, seemed underutilized as i think I was the only person there. Dated but clean showers, only 1 though in the Mens. Plenty of hot water and very affordable at only $10 a night. There is a bait shop for those who like to fish. Plenty of spots...
